1) called NVC and find out instead of waiting for email.

2) 8 weeks is their normal answer.. NVC will have your case withing 2 weeks after Noa2.

So keep calling them.

Thanks Deep! I've been calling since a week after I got the NOA2 hardcopy. I actually asked the guy (whom was very nice) if it actually took that long to get it into their system and he said sometimes it takes alot less I recommend calling often. Just thought I'd share that smile.png

Also after I get the case number is that when I can start logging into their system and do the appointment of agent?

Anybody else think its weird that they're actually giving case numbers to DCF and to expedites (those who had filed both petitions And/OR those who were granted an expedite ) earlier than the rest of us.

I see that as a pattern on this august sheet

Can someone explain to me what exactly is the "RFE" that everyone talking about? it's something we need to send after the transferred?

BTW, we got transferred 30 days ago, and still waiting for approval,
it's starting to be ridiculous... 7 month of waiting and all the August fillers moving on, while we got nothing.

yes sometimes it does feel ridiculous. We filed on august 2nd. Transferred to TSC on 28th january.

And nada.

It now appears they have bypassed august and are trying to finish up september :(

I was transferred on Jan 22 to CSC and finally we spoke with Tier 2 on Friday March 14 for an update. He was very rude and mentioned current processing time is ONE YEAR? we further insisted for the cause of delay and he mentioned that its because of security background checks.

Does anyone know how long does background check takes? Its almost 2 months and reading stories of other people really scares me as some have waited for 15 - 19 months too. :(

How many VJ friends are on the same boat?
