Hey guys, saw this in one of the thread. Thought I'd share it here too.
Effective immediately, all K visa applicants are required to complete the DS-160 Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application. The DS-160 replaces forms DS-156, DS-156K, and DS-230.

For K visa cases already in process at a U.S. embassy or consulate, the DS-160 is not required when, prior to October 7, 2013, one of the following situations exist:

  • The K visa applicant is already scheduled for an interview.
  • The K visa applicant has already been interviewed and has been requested to submit additional documentation or is pending administrative processing.
  • The K visa applicant has already submitted a valid, signed, unexpired DS-156, DS-156K and/or DS-230 or received instructions to do so.

Thanks N&P!!

I'm in USCIS status and kinda play around with SRC# increase/decrease the last digit and it seem like the last digit higher than mine already got NOA2 (129F) this week, Oct 8 and prior. Why they skip my number? When call, they always say first come first serve lol.

Congrat! to those who got approved.

I am glad to see I'm NOT the only one doing this! LOL

I monitor 20 case statuses before and 100 after mine (only I129F obviously). #42 and 43 after mine already got approval, some (three) have RFEs, and another 4 have been touched (Alien Registration Number changed) the same day as mine.

Yep, a little OCD! :-D HEHEHEHE

We are I-129F filers at the CSC who got our NOA1 on Aug 28. There's a whole group of I-129F petitions immediately before us and immediately after us who don't have NOA2s yet....however, there's at least 18 couples who filed after us who have been approved. It also seems like a huge group who filed right before us have been approved as well. Since almost no one who filed at CSC for I-129F between Aug 20-Aug 30 have NOA2s, does anyone else get that feeling of dread that all of our files are sitting in a box on someone's desk who may be on vacation or sick leave or something? It's downright stressful wondering why such a large group of us haven't been approved yet.

Quick question for those august filers that have received your NOA 2, did any one you guys use a lawyer or did ye fill the paper work out yourselfs?

We used a lawyer because we wanted to be on the safe side.

I noticed that your alien number changed does that apply to everyone cause mine has never changed

No worries, I don't think it applies to everyone (perhaps the beneficiary in your case already had one?).

We used a lawyer because we wanted to be on the safe side.

Ditto!
