Hi,

My fiancé and I have just finshed typing and printing the I-129F..... error.... retyping and finally printing correctly! Or did we?! The example form shows use of the word none...... retyping printing. But upon second look the USCIS instructions say to put nothing. Many example forms use the word none, not in excess but its there. As opposed to the use of a blank space aka nothing, which my fiancé and I are in totally agreement that it would confuse the heck out of us. :( Puzzling and yet generally important...... HeLp!!!!! :/

We used 'None' or 'N/A', depending on the question.

Same here. I also "struck through" a couple of questions.

I wouldn't leave something completely blank, because a USCIS drone/ CO could interpret that as you not having answered the question/ skipped it and send a RFE.

it depends on the question... for example if the questions states: "name of previous spouse" and you've never been married before "none" will suffice. If it then asks for "previous spouse's DOB" along the same line, the answer would be N/A because you've never had a previous spouse so that makes any question after that not applicable.

The example forms on VJ are outdated The USCIS has overhauled many of their forms lately and with new forms come new instructions too. I think many are not aware of the new form or the instructions. The new I-129F instructions state if the answer to something is N/A or none, then leave it blank. So, follow the form instructions and leave them blank.
