I am a US citizen and my fiancé is an Iranian citizen. We've been together for the last 10 months. We met while she was interning in America with a J1 visa but after her program she had to return back to her university which is in Germany. She is now living in Germany at this time for trying to finish her Masters. We applied for the I-129F application a few weeks ago and have been working on it for the last month. I know I am so in love with her and there is nobody else on this earth for me but her. However her father doesn't approve on the marriage and is trying to find ways to get her back home in Iran and her student visa may expire in february if she doesn't get accepted back. Is there anything I can do to make the process go faster before february because if she has to go back Iran I know I will have no chance at all to ever be with her again. I need help so bad it hurts and am very scared of losing her. I am willing to do whatever it takes.

I hope someone out there has been in a similar situation and can share some advice. I know this is a very long shot but I am desperate.

Thank you,

Chris

**Organizer hat off**

We applied for the I-129F application

To get the semantics out of the way, you didn't apply for anything, you filed an I-129F petition form.

Now to answer your question, there is not much you can do to speed anything up; it's unlikely your case qualifies for an expedite. Furthermore, even if she were to have an interview in Frankfurt quickly, there is a high degree of probability that she would be subjected to Administrative Processing after the interview because she would be a citizen of a country that has been designated as a state sponsor of terrorism. Cases placed on AP have no set timetable, times can range from a few weeks to over a year.

At this stage, you want her to remain in Germany,

so,

move heaven and earth to make certain she is 'accepted back', whatever the heck that means.

If she's 'accepted back', how much longer will she remain in Germany ?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Unless you enter into the military and get sent to the front lines, there is no way to speed up the process.

Regardless, she'd have to go back to her country anyway to attend the interview at the Embassy.

She can interview in any country she has legal residence in . If she is in Germany on a student visa then she can interview there

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I'm sorry to hear about these external forces bearing down on your process and mind. It seems that there are a few couples on VJ that run into similar situations, family doesn't approve and may be looking for a way to stop it. So I can understand your desires to want to hasten the process and get her here before you feel you have lost her. The only way I know how to do that is by staying positive, as other ways to expedite a K1 do not exist. Though there is good news and that is you can try to actively take a role and influence what happens. Have you thought about contacting her father? Write him a letter, email, or a phone call. Give him your side of the story and get his at the same time. What are his reasonings? Maybe it is something small that you can ease his mind about, or it might be something big that you'll have to work at. Since you are marrying her this is now your family too, and she will want their support at some point in time. Imagine moving to a country to be with the one you love without the support of your family. Yes it's great to finally be together, as you both probably think romantically about it all the time (hell I do), but the reality of it all will set in at some point. She'll be there with you, maybe a few friends, but none of her family to support her. I was trying to find a quote that i read recently about worrying, but I couldn't find it so I'll use this one instead:

"If there is no solution to the problem then don't waste time worrying about it. If there is a solution to the problem then don't waste time worrying about it.”

So stay positive, as worrying about things that may never happen will only be toxic to the cause. Best of luck buddy to you and your Fiancée.

Not true!!!

Yes correct if she is a legal resident of another country she can interview at that Embassy, but she can not do it here in the US.

Just to be clear, there is no American consulate/embassy in Iran. Beneficiaries who are not legal residents of another country need to schedule their interviews through Ankara, Turkey (seems to be the most common), Abu Dhabi, or Armenia.
