George Zimmerman Can't Have His Old Gun Back

George Zimmerman won't be getting back the Kel Tech 9 gun he used to shoot Trayvon Martin anytime soon, but he will be permitted to buy a different gun.

The Department of Justice has put a hold on all the evidence in the Zimmerman case until it completes an investigation on whether Zimmerman violated Martin's civil rights.

However, Sanford Police spokesman James McAuliffe says there is nothing preventing Zimmerman, who was acquitted in Martin's murder, from purchasing another gun.

"I do not believe that there is" any legal reason Zimmerman would not be able to purchase another gun, McAuliffe told ABC News.

If Zimmerman does want a gun, he might not have to pay for it.

Brad Thor, a thriller novelist, announced via Twitter that he would buy a new gun for George and all the ammunition he wants:

As of Friday afternoon, Zimmerman hadn't responded to the offer, Thor told Glenn Beck's website, The Blaze.

The website asked Thor what type of gun he’d buy for Zimmerman, but he said “he’ll need to decide for himself. That’s the beauty of guns."

The Federal Government seeks to strip Americans of their rights. The purpose of this trial was to do that. ITh eincident that resulted in the trial preceded the election after which Obama could go directly for firearms rights without pretenses...and lose.

They are withholding all "evidence" in case they decide to file Federal charges which they have not indicated they will. This is another puppet show, entirely predictable because people determined to strip Americans of rights and racists were not appeased by the first puppet show. (I was right about that also) They are also witholding things like Trayvons cell phone, so to frame this issue as "GZ will not get gun back" is simply pablum to appease low information citizens who can then go back to watching Jerry Springer and think they "won" something.

GZ will get his gun back when the Feds decide they can no longer pretend they will file charges. Or no longer need to because people such as yourself move on to other issues.

GZ can buy another gun. He has no disqualifying convictions for any crimes. He keeps his concealed carry license.
