You have to have a very valid reason for extending it and besides the validity of your visa is tied up with the validity of your medical exam.

You have asked this question before.

Call the US Embassy.

As long as you are still processing your petition/application the "expiration date" will be extended. Just make sure you are and remain up-to-date regarding the status of your petition. Regards,

Sid

The OP is talking about her visa, not her petition. There are only a few very specific reasons a visa can be extended, as you are not supposed to apply for one until you are ready to move to the USA.

OP- your timeline states you entered the USA on 04.08. Did you?

**** two topics about the same issue merged. Do not start more than one topic on an issue ****

How long will you need to stay out? When you enter the US/ US territory, you will get a stamp in your passport that acts as a temp greencard, so you can travel, like Darnell says. But you are supposed to be a resident of the USA, so don;t stay out too long- a few weeks or months is fine, but I wouldn;t push it past 6.
