4th Sept 2013: Update from USCIS-Case has been transferred to a local USCIS office...not sure which one yet

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I only have two questions. Who did you bribe, and why did you write your congressmen after only three months?!?!? Congrats nonetheless, and best wishes to you both in the rest of your journey!

We didn't bribe anyone, and we only wrote to the Congressman to make them aware of the situation at Vermont. As I've said before it was a very basic letter really. We didn't really mention our petition specifically, just the general slowness for everyone at Vermont. We mentioned how they're claiming to still be on October, and how much of a backlog there is. We just wanted to make more people aware of what is going on, in the hope they'll put pressure on Vermont to speed up for everyone. And then we included a Privacy Release form in case they chose to look into anything.

The more I think about it, I don't think the letter affected our approval. As I said before, they only received it sometime Saturday and we were approved by lunchtime on Monday. I doubt anyone at the Congressman's office had even read our letter by then, let alone acted on it. But hopefully we'll get a reply from them soon so we have a better idea what happened.

I do hope the letter will help those who are still waiting though.

When u wrote to senator did u give him your receipt number and noa1 date?

Our receipt number was on the Privacy Release form. And our NOA1 date was on the letter, but we had only done that as a reference.

Congrats! My fiance told me on the phone last night of hearing about a Feb VSC filer getting their NOA2 and I was like "No!!! I don't believe it" :P We're late Feb too, so that seems so quick! Hearty congrats and best of luck for the rest of your journey!

Well from what it seems even if they had not read it, i think down the road they will read it and then that could have some positive effect on others that are stuck in Vermont center. I do however think that though they say work days are m-f there are back end workers during the weekends so who knows.

we will see in the days ahead for the rest.
