What do we file next is the big question?

Screw lawyers - they know less than me - heck I learned all about the new CGI Stanley and Opting In when filing WITHOUT MY STUPID LAWYER!

So - venting over - we married in GuangXi China November 2011 and my wife came to USA last month on her CR/1.

What do I file next to keep her here and get her on the Green Card / Citizenship path?

Peace, Love, and Bobby Sherman still rocks!

you will file for removal of conditions 90 days prior to the expiration of her 2 year conditional green card. At the top of this page is a guide on how to go about doing so. After the conditions of her 2 year green card are removed she will hopefully be granted a 10 year green card. Assuming you are a US citizen, 3 years after the day she entered the country on her CR1, less 90 days, she can apply for citizenship. Best of luck!!!

Nothing. She already has a green card. It would be coming in the mail soon after entry.

You can look into removal of conditions if she is getting a 2 year card. Prepare for that in 2 years time.

She is already on the path to citizenship, she has a 3 year wait. Research the citizenship information on USCIS and on VJ.

Does she not have her green card and social security card? Did you pay the $165 fee thats what will generate green card production.

1.pay the immigrant visa fee of 165 online, if not paid already. in a bit, the green card shows up after paying. After reviewing yer timeline (thanks for updating it, btw - Bobby Sherman rocks !) I'll guesstimate that the green card should arrive within 45 days of the POE date. But that doesn't matter, as the POE stamp in her passport already endorses the VISA to be used as a temp green card, 1 year duration, an I-551 document.

2. get into a SSA office anytime 14 days after POE date, fill out the SS5 in the VISA NAME, then come back next day and get the number. Can study a bit prior, at http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/405546-ssn-howto/

when dealing with a SSA employee, if any problem or issue or hint of stupidity , hum 10 bars of Bobby Sherman to calm down, then ask for a supervisor. Then ask the supervisor to perform a SAVE database lookup on the VISA name and or A#.
