Had a wonderful experiences at the oath ceremony in Atlanta, 114 people from 56 countries, very moving, and I am very happy to say that I am now a US citizen! Will somebody please update me on the June filers and change it to RED! Thank you.

I actually live in Delaware... Had to do biometrics in Dover, DE and interview in Philly, PA... I know, a lot of different locations because DE is so small, there is no Field office here.

Wow. Yea that is a lot of places, but Delaware is tiny. 3 more days and it's oath ceremony for you! Seems as though most people have abandoned this thread since their approval lol I'm going to stick around to see the last active person through, and congratulate them. Hopefully you don't mind me asking, but, what are you planning to wear to the oath ceremony? I felt very over dressed for my interview. I don't know if it's because it's LA, or what, but I saw people walk in for their interview in shorts and a T-shirt. lol Hopefully people are more formal for the oath ceremony.

Hi Brsko,

Sadly, it's not surprising. I filed in early April, got an interview date in September, and interviewed in October. As we explored with a couple of NYC January filers, it seems Brooklyn and Queens residents are being processed very fast (3-4 months start to finish), whereas people who live in Manhattan, the Bronx, and some suburbs, have much longer waits (7-8 months total). Just sharing to let you know there's nothing wrong with your case in particular. Such waits appear to be normal for parts of NYC, for whatever reason. I wish people would post more than just "New York, NY" on their timelines, because if they are in fact in Brooklyn or Queens, they will get processed much faster than us poor souls in other parts of the city.

Yay on the interview letter! Hope it arrives soon! (I never got my oath letter; damn USPS!)

You are such a doll... I haven't thought about what I'm wearing or how I'm doing my hair lol. I'll probably wear some dress pants and a jacket. I don't understand how people can be so weird- shorts?! Really.

lol yes, really. Shorts. Like over-sized basketball shorts and a super long over-sized white tee.. Too bad I still don't have the pic. I know that makes me a dink, but I got so bored waiting 2 hours for my interview lol I sent my hubs a couple pics from inside the waiting area.. I don't know.. another lady was wearing a tank top that was way too small and skin tight jeans... well you get the pic lol It's probably an LA thing *shrugs* tomorrow is your big day!

I agree that we should stick with the thread until everyone is through. Didn't see anyone in shorts in Atlanta but we did feel a bit over dressed for the interview, but for the oath everyone was dressed nicely.
