Would it hurt to send copies of both forms in and explain in the cover letter why theres different completed forms of the I-864 new and old, and if they could accept the one that does not delay the process? I guess it would not hurt, but would anyone try that to be certain and no delay on their case? We are starting our packet and we dont want any delay as well as everyone else does not either. Thank you in advance

Genesis 2:22-24
Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman, ' for she was taken out of man." For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.

If you have not yet send in the new form, feel free to send in the old one but make sure your spouse has a new one for interview day.

If you have already sent in the new form and you are not an EP country, then do not send in another set because you'll just confuse everything with too much paperwork. I am sure they are doing the best they can to get the forms working properly. They likely do not have the largest tech department and who knows how far in advance USCIS let NVC know about the new forms so they could fix their programs to use them. It seems like, they didn't at all.

If you are in an EP country, send away with Supervisor review in the tagline and let us know how it goes.

Remember:

USCIS - Department of Homeland Security.

  • makes the forms like I-130 and I-864 etc.

NVC - Department of State

  • utilizes USCIS forms like I-864
  • makes their own forms like DS-230 etc..

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_federal_executive_departments

The US Govt is divided into all these departments that are exclusive to one another. There may be some parts that co-mingle or utilize each other but they are not part of the same section of government. This is not a large company. Do not expect them to act like one and you'll find it easier. However, writing to the people who can make changes is something people can do to help things along. Remember though that work, takes time. A computer program is not built or fixed in a day or two.

Why? The IV bill is separate from the AOS...

Interesting - prior to you posting this -

I always believed that getting an IV Fee Bill is predicated solely on the DS-3032 being accepted , acted on, and added to the casefile.

Do you have any empirical evidence about this?

The second told me that my DS 3032 had been accepted however they would not be sending the IV Bill till they know how to process the new IOS forms so im very confused at the whole thing.
