Hey Sweetie!!

He's RIGHT... Everything already is okay.. lol it's already in the making or done. dancin5hr.gif Trust that thought! Just relax and enjoy your time together...

Until even this VERY MOMENT the USCIS website and "last touched" date (if you sign in) is unchanged since the 15th. It still says Response Review but I received the actual NOA-2 in the mail yesterday.

So I received NO UPDATES AT ALL... Not Email, Not Text Message and the website unchanged.

Here's my breakdown:

July 2nd RFE Email

July 9 RFE Hardcopy

July 15 USCIS Rec'd Package ~ I got text telling me the case was updated and an email saying it was received. Status was also updated on USCIS Website.

wow.gif July 22 with no contact and no change of status anywhere!! POOF!! MAGICAL NOA-2 Hardcopy in hand!!!dancin5hr.gif dancin5hr.gif wow.gif

I almost lost my feet when I opened it and read "Approval Notice Valid from XX/XX/2013 to XX/XX/2013

I hope this helps anyone still waiting!!

It's been awhile since I've thrown some of my positive energies on you guys, been in the trenches of post-NoA2, but wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who is moving onto the next stage. Also for all of my brothers and sisters still waiting, your time is coming too...just stick with it and keep moving forward. Just look at your feet, they were made to carry you forward right? So does everything else in life ;)

So how long does it take for TSC to send the case to NVC?

I would say, in many of our cases right now, it takes about 3 weeks until you get the notification that you petition has been shipped to the NVC. As for the actually case number assignment, that is probably 4 to 5 weeks out from the NoA2 approval. Yea I know it's a drag from the 2 weeks we all have read, but spend this time collecting all those documents you will need to send your love, and researching their Embassy. It also doesn't hurt to draw up a plan for what you will do when they get here, Social Security number, Marriage and Documents, and AoS. There are some documents he/she could get duplicates of now, and translated, that will help later in the process.

Just got our case number today and it seems like many of us July 18 ship to NVC have, just call the Dept of State and not the NVC (great advice from vbtwo). The number is 202-663-1225 (Press 1 English and then 0 for operator since there is no need to go through the menu system)

So that makes 4 weeks to get the number, but it's still bring processed by the NVC.

Hi guys , i wanna ask you a question. Can we resend our RFE response , `cause i think it was lost on its way to TCS.

7/7 Hardcopy recieved , 7/12 sent documents to lawyer , 7/17 the lawyer office sent to TCS by regular mail / no tracking number/ , still didnt reach TCS.

We called USCIS , they don`t give us info as we have representative , and we can`t reach the lawyer to ask him to call USCIS.

Such a mess !!!

So i was thinking if we personally resend all papers in monday , but the only concern i have is that we dont have the original golden page of RFE request that goes with the response.

Can we make a copy , because i have a picture of it and put on the top , with an explanation letter that our first response / letter / was lost ?

Any idea ?

Are you sure your lawyer did mail it? If he/she did, that lawyer should have known better and not to send this important letter by a regular mail. Priority mail is less than $5 and it comes with a tracking number and takes about three days for them to receive. As to whether you can re-send, I think if you still have copies of RFE letter plus the yellow page, yes you can. Some of these immigration lawyers are full of it.

Having a "Representative" does NOT STOP the Petitioner or Applicant from making contact and obtaining updated information and/or assistance! It is your case.

Even the Golden paper gets sent to the Petitioner as far as I know.... I have a (crappy) Lawyer and I got the Gold page and did everything myself and sent it back myself via priority mail. I never even asked my Lawyer anything because of he's too slow for my taste. So maybe they send a gold page to both?? Because his assistant emailed me that they had rec'd an RFE and wanted to know if I had my copy by then.

Screw your lawyer. Take care of RFE yourself. Your lawyer is in it to make money, that is why they send regular postal. If you want things done right, do them yourself. Do not rely on your lawyer.

I have had a look at the Visa Journey Timelines etc. I was wondering if anyone knows how long it takes to get your consulate case number after the NOA2? It has to go to NVC then onto the designated beneficiary's consulate...mine is Sydney. On the timeline guide it says approximately 24 days from NOA2 to Consulate processing (not the interview date) - i am not sure if that is the number assigned or just when it may touch down there though and processing time is in addition.

Anyway, the reason I ask is because I have my medical booked for the 5th Sept in Brisbane (we got our NOA2 dated 22 July). I leave on the 6th Sept to the US for 10 weeks. The reason i am booking my medical, is we plan on having all the paperwork sorted before (or worst case - while I am away) and I want to be able to have the consulate interview lined up for as soon as I get home.

45 days from NOA2 notification to getting my consulate number should be plenty of time shouldn't it? If it isn't i lose my $100 deposit for the doctors booking (there was a slight misunderstanding with the doctors - they asked for my alien number which i have, but they needed my SYD consulate number - hence jumping the gun and organising the booking too early).
