People seem to be griping that VSC is in slow down right now. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I just counted 92 NOA2 notices that were performed during the month of March. I too wish things would go faster, but 100 approvals seems to be the norm.

I think there are a couple of things going on here. First Vermont was moving at a slightly faster pace up until a couple weeks ago. Secondly csc has REALLY picked up the pace in the past couple weeks. When you combine those two things it makes VSC seem verrrry slow.

Hi, I am new here. Where do you look how many NOA2's are being approved at each center?

Go to Imigration timelines at top of page and click. On next page, look at top right and you will see something called IGORS LIST. click on it. That will show you pages of approvals. There you can filter through Visa centers, and dates of filing by month.

Hi all,

We just got our NOA1 and when we check the online status and at the bottom of the USCIS page we can check process times for Cali and VT. It states Cali is 7.5 months 'That's us' and VT is at 5.0 months. This seems to contradict what others are saying? Should we rely more on VJ stats or USCIS?

Thanks so much!

Brad

As a tip, you probably should have started your own thread to ask this instead of inserting it in this one. You would probably have gotten more answers to your question. The uscis published timelines are what they use to determine if you are within normal processing times. Csc was moving at quite a slow pace until recently. Hence the uscis stated timeline. Additionally keep in mind that the stated timelines are what they are right now. So for example you could file now when it says 5 months expecting to receive a reply in that timeframe, but it could shift out to 7 months during the time it is waiting to be processed. So if you want to get a rough estimate how long you will wait look on igors list for more up to date info, just take it with a grain of salt and know things can change at any time in regards to processing times.

Hello Kastrs,

I thought the question was relevant to the post and didn't need it's own thread but thank you for explaining the differences to me.

Take care.

USCIS has not updated its info on I-129f's since January. Igor's list is not perfect, but it will give you an idea where you are at in the scheme of things. Just remember, VJ is only a sampling of all the visas applied for. Most people ( applicants) don't know this site exists.

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to the USCIS Service Centers forum -- topic involves a center's processing-rates. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
