Hi Kastrs,

Your earlier thread which is why I thought you to be a bit wound up too tight. Relax, it's just a thread of questions and topic was related. If not than my bad..Just relax.. all is good. :-)

(Your Post)

As a tip, you probably should have started your own thread to ask this instead of inserting it in this one. You would probably have gotten more answers to your question. The uscis published timelines are what they use to determine if you are within normal processing times. Csc was moving at quite a slow pace until recently. Hence the uscis stated timeline. Additionally keep in mind that the stated timelines are what they are right now. So for example you could file now when it says 5 months expecting to receive a reply in that timeframe, but it could shift out to 7 months during the time it is waiting to be processed. So if you want to get a rough estimate how long you will wait look on igors list for more up to date info, just take it with a grain of salt and know things can change at any time in regards to processing times.

Have a Great day!

Hey are we forgetting that igors list does not represent ALL the petitions being approved. They only represent the signed on members here .It doesn't make sense to take Monthly average of igors list and use that as a true gauge. For example th official vsc waiting period says 5 months but he average in igors lstis over 6 months ... Igors lst is great and I admit I look at it everyday... But it doesn't represent in numbers th true number of petitions monthly being processed by vsc ....

I'm basing my observations on the approvals here at VJ... The CSC and VSC should be reporting similar accurate numbers...CSC people are no more attentive to the site than VSC people...it's very clear that CSC is approving at a substantially higher rate than VSC. They have many Nov and Dec approvals already...VSC has almost none of these...CSC will catch up to VSC in July and Aug filers in a mere few days...that will automatically put them ahead as they will be finishing Nov and Dec quickly and VSC will be struggling to complete Oct before even getting to Nov...

I think what needs to be remembered is that CSC was at a complete stand still while VSC was pushing them out at a seady pace. now that CSC is playing catch up, it looks like VSC has slowed down when infact they are maintaining the same pace theyw ere at before. Everything looks skewed because of the CSC rush to catch up. JMO

Again...if CSC finishes July Aug Sept by next week...and it looks like that will be the case...that puts them light years ahead of VSC already...they have a large number of Oct Nov And Dec already finished...just stating the obvious...

And some days VSC has had zero approvals...that sounds like a standstill to me...

VJ is representing maybe 6% of the total aplications. So this means that, yes, there may be days when no VJ petitions are approved. And according to Igors list they are averaging 4-6 approvals a day with a few exceptions. VSC approved a conciderable number of July, Aug and September while CSC was at a stand still. a slowdown, is not a stand still.

CSC Approvals in April,

April - 0 - 0 before April

March - 0 - 2 before April

February - 0 - 1 before April

January - 0 - 1 before April

December - 31 - 3 before April

November - 21 - 3 before April

October - 43 - 3 before April

September - 95 - 4 before April

August - 91 - 23 before April

July - 27 - 83 before April

RFE - 56 (most for July and August)

VSC Approvals

April - 0 - 0 before April

March - 0 - 2 before April

February - 0 - 0 before April

January - 0 - 4 before April

December - 0 - 5 before April

November - 0 - 1 before April

October - 32 - 13 before April

September - 15 - 71 before April

August - 15 - 99 before April

July - 11 - 132 before April

RFE - 15 (most for October)

It balances out other than the November and December whch were processed out of order. You have to look at how many were processed prior to April to see that Vermont hasn't come to a stand still, they are maintaining a steady pace and really are maintaining pretty close to thier 5 month goal if the first month is counted as month 0. This also doesn't take into account those that haven't updated timelines.

"Other than the November and December"...this a large factor that needs more than a mention here...this will put CSC two months ahead of VSC in a matter of a week or two...and with a 6% representation, that makes how many applications that CSC has REALLY approved? I wonder what happened to all of the other types of paperwork that CSC processes...where did that go? Also, there are a good number of VSC july aug and sept filers that would disagree about the five month average...
