Can't believe it, I'm missing my hubby's birthday today :'( this sucks!! When will all this be over? I really miss him.

Hang in there, hon... You will get through this. Think about how amazing it will be when you get through this nightmare..

I myself am not married yet, but will be soon, but it's just as hard.

We are all very strong here and we WILL get through this!

The outcome is well worth it :)

9/6/2013 -Priority Date 5/13 /2014- Case number and IIN assigned

2/25/2014 -Transferred to NSC 5/20/2014- DS-261 completed

3/31/2014 -Approved 5/21/2014- AOS fee invoiced and paid

5/22/2014- AOS package overnighted to NVC

5/28/2014- AOS scanned into the system

6/20/2014- IV invoice email (but fee still locked on CEAC )

6/23/2014- IV fee finally unlocked and paid.

IV package overnighted to NVC

6/30/2014- IV scanned in. DS260 completed.

7/1/2014- AOS accepted

7/2/2014- False checklist (AOS reviewed)

8/1/2014 False checklist (attorney's G28 reviewed)

8/2/2014 False checklist (NVC not sure why it was generated)

I am the beneficiary. 8/12/2014 CASE COMPLETE!

8/26/2014 Medical

9/2/2014 Interview... APPROVED!!!

9/5/2014 Visa in hand

11/1 - NOA1

11/17- Received biometrics appointment letter

I know how you feel.. I felt the same too when I missed my husband birthday, but just be strong you will be with him... Just think the positive side that's what my husband told me because when we get there we will be with our husband forever.. lets just pray and pray because only God can help us

I'll be missing our first anniversary and we missed being with each other for our birthday (yes it's the same day) this year. It sucks but eventually it's over and you can rejoice. This year, we've gone through WAY WAY more than a married couple should have to as newlyweds. But I hope it makes us stronger for the times ahead.

Oh Dear , i totally understand you, i didnt see my husband 8 months and miss him a lot. We missed not only each others birthdays, he missed our first baby's one year old party too, so depressed he missed our baby's growing, her first steps.. Wish all of us to be together soon

Hang in there I know how you feel my wife and I got married sept 15, 2011 and I missed her birthday aug of that year because i had to go to the USA for 9 days one of which was her bday and I missed it in 2012 because I was here in the states and I may miss it this year . I also missed my baby turning 2 years old in 2012. the good thing is we spend my bday and christmas together the last two years. what helps me get through this is talking on skype everyday and seeing my family on video calls and one day we will all be together .keep your head up

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
