I hope it is just "the new guy" grabbing a stack of applications that were from late nov-early december, enthusiastically working on them, and his slow, fat-a$$ed co-workers are just getting through the rest of the pile, and they'l start showing up soon.

 Hope so too :clock:

Not to be too much of a downer, but if they average the wait times then it would make sense that they would jump ahead and do a few random ones to make the overall wait time look less, so they look not as far away from their goals.

i.e. process 2 that are around 200 days, and 2 that are around 100, so it looks like the average is 150 days to wait.

I hope that's not the case.

If I remember correctly, the last time I saw 5 approvals here in 1 day, I think it was in September-early October.

March 7th.

But you have to go back to Oct 25 to see that again.

VSC seems to have a couple of 5ers every week.

Yeah, I'm not so sure I like this pattern.

was on the same thought. This could be a set up to appease the rant they are getting from petitioners and maybe from senators or congressmen that already made the inquiries... so they could say, "hey, we processed Nov and Dec" and could say further "we didn't lie, we did process them". trying not to be negative but this runs through mind. BUT I hope and pray they really are moving. Congratulations  to those that got approved. I'm keeping my fingers cross for the rest of us :innocent:

With just one day of data, I think it's too soon to panic. It could just be a blip as CSC gets in gear. I think back in Feb/early March a group of relatively recent VSC petitions were approved out of sequence. Posters hypothesized that maybe they were used for training purposes, and soon after VSC did seem to speed up. (I think. I find monitoring VSC's progress on Igor's list too depressing to do so regularly.) I would welcome a few more CSC adjudicators clearing up the backlog.

That being said, if this trend continues, I will be livid, but not surprised. CSC seems to ignore the fact that there are real people -- separated from their fiance, sometimes their children, with their lives on hold -- behind the numbers that they so readily manipulate.

If that's the case, maybe they should get rid of the old workers and hire all new workers for K-1 visa applications whistling.gif

I don't think the USCIS publishes the average wait time for a form type to be processed, not even for DACA. Unless these figures are available somewhere and I'm totally unaware of it. Perhaps the track it internally though.

I got my NOA2 back in March as well, and I filed mine this year in January. Basically 60 days from NOA1. I was so stoke, but my hope is slowing waning since NVC has yet to get my case files after a month. After 7 phone calls to NVC and 1 to USCIS, I was told by USCIS that my files is sitting in a mailroom in San Jose, CA even though the NOA2 clearly read that "We have sent the original visa petition to the Department of Stale National Visa Center (NVC)". The reply I got from USCIS was "yes, we approved your I-130 petition, and we WILL send it to NVC". The all capitalized "WILL" is as written in the reply. No ETA, and I was instructed to wait for NVC to contact me when they receive my file. What a major disappointment! I guess getting the NOA2 didn't really mean you jumped ahead of the line. Your order of processing is determined by the sending out of your files to NVC. There was another post the other day of a similar case on VJ who has been waiting for 45 days with no NVC case #.

Sigh...

Well, we filed not K1, but CR1 two years ago. And the same story happens with us. CSC skipped July, Augast filers and started process September after 4 monthes of our waiting. I filed in July. It turned out that all petitions from July-Augast were transferred to Texas Service Center to "speedup processing time". But TSC kept saying that they just got those petitions and we have to wait another 6 monthes. It was truly black hole. I even got response to my inquary wait another year and then contact them again only. Finally after all people just got mad and wrote senators and reps we, who filed in Augast and july, got processed. It was total mess, people got RFEs which do not match with there cases. And yeah, we had to wait more then month after approval just to transfer to NVC while approved cases September and October from CSC were transferred within several days.

Hopefully, you are not going throuth the same.

Think about this... This agency is run by the same bureaucrats who will soon be running our healthcare system in this country! Things are looking up!
