If you have filed both a I129F and I130, the USCIS has decided to presume that you are going to enter the U.S. on K3 and adjust status in the U.S. - so if you actually want to do consular interview, you have to ASK them to send your approved I130 to the NVC for processing by filing I824 and paying $200. I'm not sure about situations where the I130 is approved first though - and this new rule was just issued at the end of October, so I really haven't seen anyone dealing with it yet. I really hope they send out my I130 though, and save me $200

I got the EMAIL notification for approval too.. (even though I got the snail mail on Monday) hehehe

either way.. i'm happy.. what a great Christmas present!

I'm waiting for an approval of the I-130.... It would have been nice to know what countries those petitions were filed at. I'm filed in China, I can see thee are many filed after mine, but the already got thier approval. I've received nothing to date.

Now if only I can be patient for another 10 days until I get back to the USA and retrieve my mail from the post office so I can open the package.

When you receive your package, could you share the "instructions"? I'm curious about the I824 ... option/requirement. I'll eat peanut butter & jelly sandwiches for a month to save the $200 for the I864 if it makes this easier or less painful.

Was approved and updated on USCIS website and recieved e-mail confirmation on 06 Dec 06. Checked USCIS website today and received another touch (08 Dec 06). Has anyone else experienced this before? Could it be our file leaving CSC ?

My NOA2 was on 11/27 and I just called the NVC to find that a case number was assigned for my application.. that's 8 business days.. I know may will hate me for saying this but kudos to the NVC!

That's great news I'm glad to hear it. I've already called 3 times. lol, I mostly just wanted to hear how the automated system worked I'm going to try to wait a week, but I'm anxious to start using Jame's Shortcuts.

P.S. I don't know who Jame is, but by the looks of things he is a saint for putting this info out there for the rest of us. He should have copy righted his short cuts.. could have made him self a lot of $$$$$$$$$

James was(is) a saint. He was one of those very helpful to all type of guys here on VJ. Unfortunately I believe some people wronged him last year and, since he was pretty much finished with the process, decided to leave VJ. Too bad too, but I'm sure he's enjoying having a life.
