Have you contacted USCIS yet to see what they say? See if it's still there, or if they've sent it to NVC, what date did they send it.

I did that in my case, Saylin, and USCIS was still saying they didn't know where it was, and putting in service requests to boot, three days after the date the file was actually sent to NVC.

I'm a dual US/Hungarian citizen (both by birth; Hungarian citizenship verification TBA), and my husband is a dual British/Irish citizen (by treaty) from Northern Ireland. We are atheists.

All advice is given pursuant to the Disclaimer that you may read at the bottom of each forum page.

LATEST STEPS:

28 Jun 2013: POE Houston

08 Jul 2013: SSN received (at SSA office)

07 Aug 2013: Green Card received

27 Feb 2014: Whoa, life happened. Planning move "back home" together to Republic of Ireland by end of April.

29 Apr 2014: POE Dublin through Heathrow

15 May 2014: Received formal residency/work permission (GNIB card with Stamp 4, one year renewable) for the ROI

If you did not have a valid reason for expedited processing, it is not fair to use supervisor review...

I second this. If everyone uses that trick right off the bat, or after only waiting a few days, it's going to be worthless after a while because they'll be so overloaded with "supervisor review" emails. If you haven't waited the customary two week max, I wouldn't use it. It kind of feels like cutting in line in front of others, but that's just my thinking. whistling.gif

Be careful. For tax purposes "working" for a charity is different from "volunteering" for one. If you are a "volunteer" you cannot even be paid for your expenses, not even given lunch if you're working in a soup kitchen (though who's to know). The key is that you are not to get money or goods that could be given to a citizen or resident.

I guess my answer will be based on the exact question when I see it. Maybe 'working' is to be strictly interpreted as being compensated for. I may even post it here and get some feedback. I am not paranoid about it and don't mind at all saying that I was involved but it didn't seem relevant to anything until you make the comment about taking possible money out of the hands of a citizen. Nonetheless, I was a permanent resident at the time. Unfortunately my IV Bill is still processing so I don't have access to the form yet.

Send me the PDFs then, and I could whip something together! Take your time though, no rush no0pb.gif And I'd of course give you credit as you're taking time out of your day to help others! :)

Thanks to both of you!!

I have a reason of course for expediting the process ... i really need every single day ..

I also have filed an expedite request. They have it, they told they are working on it. It is not a reason for me to use supervisor review on the other steps. I respect others too can have similar or maybe worse issues than me... just saying.
