I forgot to mention that when I submitted my N-400 this past Saturday (4/13) I didn't include a check, I actually sent it in with the I-912 waiver. My initial I-912 was approved when I applied for citizenship two years ago (9/2011), so I'm hoping it is once again approved given that I am a full-time student with almost zero income last year.

No, you must wait for hardcopy NOA with your case# now.

Only after receiving it you will be able to setup email and text notifications on the USCIS case status page.

My N-400 was delivered to USCIS this morning at 10:38 am! So now the process begins once again...hopefully my I-912 waiver is approved.

Update - Got a text (and email) today telling my my case status online was updated

Your Case Status: Initial Review

On April 17, 2013, we mailed you an appointment notice to have your fingerprints taken. Please follow the instructions on the notice. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

So yay progress! But poo a 3 hour drive (1 way) for a 15min-1hour thing... Ah well. Day off work! I'm making plans for activities in Des Moines too :)

Given my NOA1 letter was dated 4/8 (priority date 4/5) and I didn't get it till 4/13... I'm not expecting to get the actual bio letter until about Tuesday next week. At that point... I tell my boss I filed for citizenship and need to take a day off work!

Hoping the rest of us see progress soon :)

I tried to add today's date to update my progress since they cashed my check today but it seems like I made a mistake. What did I do wrong?

AOS timeline

04/02/2010: AOS sent (I-130, I-485, I-765)

04/05/2010: delivered (day3)

04/12/2010: checks cashed (day10)

04/15/1020: 3 NOAs received (day13)

04/17/2010: biometrics notice(for I-485 & I-765) received (day15)

04/19/2010: walk-in biometrics done, I-485 & I-765 updated (day17)

04/20/2010: I-485 & I-765 updated (day 18)

04/27/2010: I-130 & I-765 updated (day 25)

05/11/2010: actual biometrics appointment day (day39)

05/12/2010: interview letter received, notice date on 05/07/10 (day40)

06/16/2010: interview day - APPROVED!!! (day75)

06/16/2010: I-765 updated, EAD & green card production ordered (day75)

06/17/2010: I-130, I-485, I-765 updated (day76)

06/21/2010: welcome letter & i-130 approval notice (day 80)

06/28/2010: EAD card received (day 87)

06/29/2010: applied SSN (day 88)
