cr1 or ir1?

good day! i'm confused about my visa category. my visa category was cr1 since we filed it last 2009. but it took so long to process and now my marriage is almost 4 years that supposed to be ir1 already. my interview will be on jan.29 tuesday. my question is do we gonna have a problem when we gonna be there at the us embassy? thanks

You ain't gonna have any problem .you will still be issued the cr1 visa but wen you are admired on USA soil your status will change to ir1.ir1 because you are admitted after 2 yrs of marriage.

You ain't gonna pay no visa fees,the only thing you might be asked to present is more current police report if you have not yet submitted any current one.

No not at all. That is a good thing though coz if u been married 4 yrs to the petitioner u will be given the IR1 visa hopefully.

This is so not true. Its paid online with USCIS anytime after you receive your Visa packet. You have up to a year to pay. But no pay no green card.

But no they aren't taking fees at the POE.

depends. was it ever gathered up at NVC, during NVC doc intake, or no ?

also, if it's been more than a year since the I-864 was submitted into NVC, it's best to have a fresh one, a current one, for the interview.

actually, you qualify for IR-1 designation.

The local workers are such slackers, though - you really need to talk with the Vice Consul (the person doing your actual interview) and ask them to make certain that your designation reads IR-1.

Is best to get that handled at the Embassy, at the interview, as you most likely will not remember to get it fixed at the POE after a grueling overseas flight.
