Not sure what you're asking, but yes, applications from CT will be forwarded to Vermont as CT is in the Northeast and the center you're forwarded to is based on where you live so Vermont handles the eastern half of the US, and California the western half approximately.

Yeah, I read different things. Anywhere from an actual alien registration number being assigned to the beneficiary to the case being touched, to a computer glitch, to pending approval shortly after that message. By the looks of it, with all the January filers receiving that message, it appears it's most likely not the latter. There is rumor that cases being sent to Vermont after August 15 are sent to another location for faster filing because of the backlog.

I talked to an officer dude at uscis today he said everything looks fine and about the A# change; he said she does have one and it's for her future here.. He told me to call back every 30-45 days for updates

They probably changed their procedure to assign an A# right away instead of at the end. Or just changed their notification system to tell us that they assigned an A#. In any case, it seems everyone gets it now about a week after NOA1.
