We have our biometric done this month also and our petition is still at NBC with no updates.

Does anyone have the AOS petition transfer to local or one of the service centers?

Hi everybody!

When I checked my status on the USCIS website a couple of days ago, it suddenly said "Testing and Interview" for the AOS, the EAD and the AP were still in Initial review. Then we moved and changed the address for the petitions and the whole thing and now it is back in Initial review again  I guess everything goes like it's supposed to do, but I would love me some development.

Is the Testing and Interview stage normal, and suggests that they will do an interview or does it also appear when you go through without an interview?

K1

  • 02 March 2012 I-129F packet sent
  • 12 March 2012 NOA1
  • 11 July 2012 NOA2
  • 08 August 2012 Medical (Berlin)
  • 14 September 2012 Interview in Frankfurt
  • 16 October 2012 Leaving Germany
  • 21 November 2012 Wedding!

AOS

  • 11 December 2012 AOS package sent
  • 18 December 2012 NOA 1
  • 07 January 2013 biometrics
  • 06 February 2013 EAD / AP approved
  • 13 February 2013 got interview date!
  • 15 February 2013 EAD / AP combo card arrived in mail
  • 21 March 2013 Interview - GC approved!
  • 28 March 2013 GC in the mail

ROC

  • 06 February 2015 ROC package sent
  • 09 February 2015 NOA 1
  • 13 March 2015 Biometrics appointment letter received, apt on March 27
  • 27 March 2015 Biometrics done

We read on other boards, unless your AOS is transferred to CSC. they will schedule an interview after "Notice of Transfer" to local USCIS where you reside. However, someone in this board mentioned that as of August 2012, they no longer transfer AOS petitions to CSC due to backlogs. So, like most of us, our AOS petitions will remain at NBC and wait for that "Notice of Transfer"to our local USCIS for interviews.
