Yeah, so true. Most of the people had waited/ have been waiting for months and months to get theirs approved and some people get it approved within a month or so. I should not say this since Life is unfair but what the heck are they doing with their work. They should process them right, make it fair. I'm trying to be patient but it's very hard to be away from the loved one. Hope the miracle comes to every one of us :) That would be a great christmas gift!

I think is just their processThey recieved my petition on October 12, but this is what they posted on my status: ,On October 22, 2012, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). I think is just their way of saying it is in the system.

NOA1 12/7/12, Alien Reg # changed notice on 12/12/12 and since then it's in the initial review phase. I know that there are couples who got approved even in a month without any expedited request. I am hoping for the best :)

Hi all.

I originally started this thread and I would like to share with you that today USCIS emailed me with the approval, then, USCIS followed with another email referring to the sending by mail of the NOA2. I am the happiest man alive. Hurraaaa!!!!!

Please be patient, it is happening and I am sure you'll be in the same position soon.

Take care all.

I received an email when I got my NOA1. Right after that, our case appeared on the USCIS website with the "INITIAL REVIEW" status.

Then 6 months later I received an email saying "your status changed." So I went to the USCIS website and saw that our status is still the same. It was still "INITIAL REVIEW" but on the bottom of that, there was a new message. It said "your alien registration number has been changed..."

Then 1 week after that, I got another email. This time it was the NOA2 approval email.

well we are still wondering why there are some people who received this message right before NOA2 and some people get it right after NOA1. my NOA1 date is NOv.7th and the alien registration number change is Nov 14th and up to this date the status is still in initial review.

Thanks for the detailed infos... I appreciate it... Gives me hope when there are more people being approved. I hope I get mine soon too.. I know it's still early, but I'm sure everyone can relate how excited I am even if it's gonna be a long wait.

I can't help but wonder if it's not just some change in how soon they give the A#. So many of us who filed recently have got this message. But that for some an approval followed soon after does give some glimmer of hope. Especially since in other threads there are rumors that there is about to be a rash of slowdowns because of the new "dream-act lite" visas overtaxing the USCIS.

If I am not mistaken, there are 3 members on this thread that received the NOA2 after they received/saw a status that alien # was changed.

I hope everyone who got the same message receives their NOA2 :)
