  1. EAD arrived a month ago and SS Card still hasn't arrived. At Social Security office the statement is that the person doesn't exist in the system. Social security employee collected passport information and EAD information. If information is accepted, then card should be in the mail in two weeks. Can anyone elaborate on this? Thank you.
  2. EAD received. Does anyone know if the Social Security card will follow in the mail or at the Social Security office? Thank you.
  3. To sky88: I am sorry for the delayed response. No, he hasn't tried to apply for any medical help. We think this may be an issue for the approval of his status.
  4. I didn't know it takes that long. Thank you for your help.
  5. I understand. I131 will be filed tomorrow with a copy of the I-797C for I-485. Thank you
  6. He applied for EAD but not for AP. His Biometrics are scheduled for this Friday, March 24th, 2023. Thank you.
  7. My son in law filed for AOS one month ago. Doctor's appointment and biometrics appointment already in place for April, 2023. The case seems to be going fast and well. My son in law was diagnosed with a tumor in his neck and needs to be removed surgically as soon as possible. He wants to go to Colombia to have surgery since price of surgery is more convenient. He doesn't have health insurance in the US. I am helping him possibly filing I-131. The question is: Can this be done? Is this something possible (filing I131) with USCIS? Help is appreciated.
  8. Request for Evidence (FORM I-485) Here, USCIS is requesting the medical examination and also the Covid 19 vaccine series. Is this mandatory? Your advise is appreciated.
  9. Does anyone have a template or example of the cover letter to include in the package to be send? Thank you
  10. After I posted on behalf of my daughter, I realized I didn't explain myself. My daughter married a man that came to this country on a student visa from Colombia and overstayed for 12 years. My daughter is a USC and I am helping since I have some experience doing so. First time with a overstayed student, that is my confusion. Do we have to apply for a pardon or just simply file I-130, I-485 and documents. Thank you all.
  11. Why my thread was moved from the CR-1 Process forum to the "AOS from WS&T Visas" main forum.?
  12. No. He is here and will stay here. He is working with an ITIN number and has done taxes for five years. Thank you again for your advise.
  13. My daughter is submitting the I-130 for her husband and we noticed that his birth certificate is not on the list of the documents requested by USCIS. Is this new? He is already in the US and he came to on a Student Visa 12 years ago. Thank you for the advise.
  14. to “make sure” you’ve provided no certainty on 2 years of judicial presence after age 14 and before his son was born. I am trying to understand this part Mike. Help me, please.
  15. Mike. This is an excellent news. Just to make sure, my nephew came to the US on December 1982, became a US Citizen on April 2, 1991 and traveled to Germany on September of 1996. My nephew's child is now 19 years old. If this is the case, I am sure he needs to submit certain documents to the U.S. Department of State for his passport. Will that be the translated Birth Certificate? Thanks again for your help.
  16. Hi Mike. Sorry for the delayed response. Yes. My nephew was living in the US for more than 14 years before he traveled to Germany and had this child.
  17. 1. Yes. 2. Yes. 3. Yes. 4. Nephew's son is willing to wait to work until he gets his documents (social security and green card). Thank you Mike.
  18. Nephew is a USC since early 80's. His son was born in Germany while nephew lived there. Nephew was never married to his son's mom.
  19. My nephew's son is now 19yo. He was born in Germany. My nephew is a USC and now lives in the US. To file: Does he need the I-130 and I-131 only? Parents never married. Nephew's son is in US as a visitor for 90 days and wants to legalize status. Does he have to leave while documents are in process? Your help is appreciated.
