I noticed yesterday that USCIS updated the time frame document (http://www.aila.org/content/default.aspx?docid=42360)

Just wanted to get a second opinion before I call USCIS, it shows as of December 5 they were processing May 28th for K1, however on the top there is a line that confuses me: Field Office Processing Dates for Vermont Service Center as of: October 30, 2012

Does this means that they processed may 28th on October 30th?

Also if I login into the uscis case status page it shows that current K1 visa handling time is 5.2 months (was 5.6 up to yesterdays update), my 5.2 and 5.6 months are up. Im planning to call USCIS at 1-800-375-5283 later today, but I was wondering if I am requesting case update or trying to launch some kind of complaint that they're taking too long?

just called and talked to a girl that sounded like she is in Phillipines, she strongly insisted that as of December 5 they're processing may 28th. but again there is inconsistency with the graph that shows up below case status that now says it takes 5.2 months instead of 5.6

its the interpretation of that table, any more takers on that?

As of October 30, 2012 they were processing May 28, 2012. The USCIS is updated at the same time as us. The operator you were talking to must go by the timeframes shown on the website, though. So if the website says May 28, 2012 (no matter when it was updated and no matter when the info is considered accurate), then the processing time frame is May 28, 2012.

bsd058, you have the right screen shots that I was ref to.

In my personal opinion I thing that the one with the graph has an update which is more recent than the one from the table, which only says as of Dec 5 we are able to inform you that on October 30th our VSC processed an application that came in on May 28. Stats from this web site confirm it, there are plenty of June fillers that have received NOA2.

My question, is it worth spending some time trying to find a supervisor or person in charge within that USCIS help line that would be able to understand the logic above and will start whatever the process they have for expediting/finding out case status. Anyone done this before? Or should I jsut do the usual thing through senator/lawyer?

Your opinion is incorrect. Opinions are expressed as matters of personal preference. These charts and graphs are an attempt to express facts.

Take a look at the top of the chart which states that these are the dates "as of October 30, 2012."

The same thing is written at the bottom of the graph.

I think the graph shows merely the average waiting time. The processing dates show the date VSC is focused on completing. Therefore, if you're past the processing date posted, you can request a service request.

But in terms of whether or not it is worth it, I think it is worth it if you have the free time to do so. You would then have nothing to lose. If you are a very busy person, then it might not be worth it, except to check in every week or so. At least, if I were you I would "keep on knocking," so to speak.

so, new question! at what point I am going to be able to place a service request that they would not be able to deny saying you just need to wait few more weeks?

The point at which the posted processing date exceeds your priority date. How long will that take? No one but the service center knows for sure. Hang in there!

I certainally agree that VSC is well into June, with a few May straglers, with maybe a few issues, or "rfe", I saw on Igor's list yesterday that a June 22 was approved.

My question is, "How can the VSC say we are working on May 28th, when we all know many June filers have been approved, what is the rationale?" Do the people working in Vermont think we are "robots" and just listen and take what they say as correct, when we "all know" that they are well into June, and the date they are using is October 30.,. that was almost 40 days ago!

They know we are at their mercy, and just have to put up with their BS! Raven

Hi guys! Anyone knows about CSC processing time as of this month?

in all your ways submit to Him,

@ Altair17, stop calling and be patient! ...i looked into your timeline and it says NOA1 6/13/2012. Yes VSC says 5.2 or 5.6 whatever, but truly it's 6 months! I filed mine last April 23, 2012 and on October 23, 2012 at 10:15am I received a text msg and email that Case was updated and so I checked on Case Status and whala! its been approved :) ...Upon receiving the NOA2 it says exactly October 23, 2012 but then SANDY (storm) came and NO MAIL here in NY till the second week of November when I finally got the official letter, nevertheless, I told fiance to go on with medical exam since we already have the KEV number. Set-up the interview a week after, passed it, and there you go, she will be here this sunday YAY!

SO PATIENCE MY FRIEND... wait till the 13th of the month for text that your case is updated (I hope you enrolled in case status update via text/email)

One more week! It wouldn't hurt! We all know exactly how you feel. :)
