My wife is going to her visa interview alone because i am in america and am working, should she bring our daughter to the visa interview? Our child was not mentioned on any of the paperwork during the I-130 process because she was not born yet. I would think it would be beneficial in prooving our relationship. I would guess that they would want to ask many questions about our child, so bottom line, would it be beneficial for her to bring our 2 month old daughter to her visa interview?

I would. Also bring her birth certificate, translated if not in English as well as copies that you can submit to the CO.

Bring the birth cert (especially if you were present for the birth and so it has your signature on it), but I would not bring the child if she has reliable babysitting/ isn't breastfeeding. Your wife may be waiting a long time, outside at first standing, then inside, it can be loud and stressful by itself, let alone with a newborn to care for.

Hard to breastfeed while waiting in line. She'll have to wait standing outside for a long time. Are you also planning to have your wife change diapers out in the street? It's already stressful to go by yourself. Having a newborn would be even more stressful not just for her but for the baby as well.

The baby is not being petitioned so the baby doesn't need to be there.

Just bring all the documents regarding CSPA including the baby's NSO BC.

I agree with this statement. There's no need to bring the baby as she's not being mentioned in the petition, but she would have to be brought to the CRBA appointment as the CO needs to see the baby personally together with all documents pertaining to her application for a CRBA. Incidentally, the baby does not need to be petitioned as she would come out a US citizen after the CRBA is approved, and a US passport could be applied for at the same time as the CRBA appointment processing.

Actually, it's not hard to breastfeed while waiting in line, changing diapers is not a big deal, it's very easy to bring a newborn around in a sling and the baby would have no clue what's going on as long as its needs are being met. I would definitely bring my baby with me if the interview were going to take a while. My children were both exclusively breastfed and would not take bottles. Leaving them in someone else's care for 5-6 hours before they ate solids was not an option.

If breast-feeding is the issue, then by all means bring the baby, BUT I would advice that you bring a 3rd person who can hold and mind the child while you're being interviewed by the consul.
