Good luck! I solved the cat carrier problem by getting a side-loading carrier along the lines of this:

20111017162913.jpg

Push him in and zip it up from the side. Much much easier than the hard frontloaders. George's is the red one in the foreground. It's manly!

I had to get the radiator on my car replaced today. I've spent more on my car in the past two weeks (tune up, radiator, smog, new headlight, new catalytic converter, hoses, registration and two delinquent parking tickets) than I spent on both my wedding dresses and all wedding gear combined. Kill me now.

Ok, I love that carrier.

I tipped my carrier on it's side and lowered him in from the top. He wasn't a happy camper, but he got over it.

Here he is, plotting my demise.

Wow! He is handsome!

Our old carrier looked like that, too, but the color was blue. It was easily broken. Before we had our second cat, Yumi, we always took Prince with us when traveling. When we were about to go for a long road trip in October 2010, my husband bought a pet taxi like what Maven has posted and it could be transformed into a backpack with a strong mesh so he could still see outside. So Mr. Prince was inside a backpack when we visited the Grand Canyon.

George would DIE if I took him to the Grand Canyon. He has conniptions when we drive the whole half mile to the vet or 2 miles to the groomer to get his nails did. I saw a man the other day with his kitty in a special kitty pram, just moseying down the road. I would like one, but owning a kitty pram pushes you from cat lover to Crazy Cat Lady, even if you only own one cat.

I've seen a lot of Pet Prams in Vancouver; I always thought the point of walking your dog was to give them exercise. Anyway, I put a towel over the carrier and it really calmed Hans down.

Have you seen this story? I remember reading about it a while back.

I've seen that on Amazon a few months ago and thought it would be cool to take the cats out on a pram ride. I told my husband that I'd get one. All I heard was a resounding, "NO." laughing.gif

Get one and we can push our cat prams around West LA together. :P

My husband and his friends are gonna have a CoffeScript hack/meetup later. They said that they'd hold it by the pool with BBQ. Wives are not exactly invited but I'm sneaking in for the BBQ and hopefully some freshly brewed coffee, then I'm coming back home so nobody would ask me for beer and sammich. I'll leave once they start writing buckets of code.

I like how the band of geeks in Los Angeles roll!
