I was around here in 2008 and I do not recall this level of hostility, wackiness, and downright nastiness in the comments regarding the election 4 years ago. Maybe I am just imagining things but it seems a whole lot more vile this election. There is also a new level of false infomration, particualrly from Dems, distorted thread titles, claims that are never made in the articles printed, etc. Weird.

All for an election between two people from the exact same system that will use the system exactly for their own benefit and that of their party. Choice of Repulicrat or Democan.

I voted for Bob Barr last time, Gary Johnson this time

Bernie Sanders, an avowed Socialist will get my vote for Senator because I know the man, respect him and he damn sure does his best for people of this state. That buys him a lot with me. I do not agree with him on almost anything and he told me personally that if I did, I should check into a mental institution. But he has reasoned opinions and I can respect reasoned opinions even if I do not agree. Sanders is NOT a Kool Aid drinker and that is why he is NOT a Democrat. Kool Aid drinkers are just lemmings. I also voted for Leahy in 2010, a "liberal" Democrat who I know personally and know he has done more for this state than probably any other single person, in fact the VSC is the VSC and not the NYSC or NHSC because of Patrick Leahy and that is hundreds of good jobs in this area. Bermie Sanders introduced a simple healthcare bill which would have been single payor and could have actually worked...but it was shot down by Democrats who do not care about people or health in order to put in Obamacare which is nothing but a pork sandwich for their favorite special interest and does not provide healthcare, it rpovides a lot of new customers for insurance companies.

Peter Shumlin, a liberal, gun carrying, deer/bear hunting and trout fishing Democrat will get my vote as Governor. He has proven to be very decisive and great for Vermont. When we were pounded by Hurricane Irene last year he waited not even 2 hours for anyone in the Obama administration to do anything and had it patched up within a few days. He drew help from wherever he could, even Canada, and put aside everything to get the job done. Plus, you gotta love a guy that gets chased around his backyard naked by black bears while trying to defend his bird feeders.

Peter Welch (Democrat), our only Representative, will get my vote because...why not? He is pretty much MIA most of the time, but he can caucus with our much more powerful Senators to get things done and when you are from a state with a population that doesn't even make a good sized city, you need all the swing you can get. Vermont swings a disproportionately big bat in Washington due to our Senators. We do not need someone bickering with them over politics.

Y'all can fight back and forth over a difference without a distinction.

You are part of the problem, not part of the solution.

Can you explain how Obamacare "provides a lot of new customers for [health] insurance companies" but at the same time "does not provide healthcare?"

India, gun buyback and steamroll.

nothing is 'provided' you still have to buy it, and you'll still have riciculoud deductibles (if not worse than what they have been).

Obummer handed the American sheeple over on a silver platter to private corporations and the left CHEERED it. The hypocrisy and sheer stupidity is amazing!

I recall the calls to arms from those who predicted a civil war would inevitably erupt immediately if Obama got elected in 2008. I recall the Chicken Littles of then, in their incessant pleas to 'buy ammo' and stockpile food and water because the world would come to an end if the Dems won the election. I recall then as we see now, the slogans urging Americans to bring the white back to the White House.

Ignorance is non partisan.

Terrified? Of an election result? Seems a bit dramatic. :)

It may seem over melodramatic, but in some cases, sadly true...

Virginia Republicans Call for Armed Revolution if Obama Wins in November

In the Virginia Republican Committee newsletter, there is nothing to imply that protecting Americans from the “prey of the rich on the poor” is the reason for calling for armed rebellion. According to the newsletter, President Obama, is a “political socialist ideologue unlike anything world history has ever witnessed or recognized,”and that the only option is “armed revolution should we fail with the power of the vote in November:” If one is confused as to what Republicans consider is a “political socialist ideologue,” the newsletter claims President Obama “shuns biblical praise, handicaps economic ability, disrespects the honor of earned military might,” and that under Obama, “the government is out of control, and this opportunity, must not be forsaken for we shall not have any coarse (sic) but armed revolution.
