Well said hiker! I should definitely re-send those letters addressed differently. I agree very much about the last part you said. I honestly have no way going about it. Maybe potentially a petition? Anyone have any ideas on how to go about taking it to the press? I would not mind putting Atlanta on blast!

Here’s some places to start you out:

http://www.myfoxatlanta.com/category/238342/email-news-tips

maybe the CBS Atlanta Investigates link? http://www.cbsatlanta.com/category/212671/contact-cbs-atlanta

There’s a news tips link in here: http://www.ajc.com/contact-us/

You could always try “Letters to the Editors” as well.

The petition thing on the White House site would definitely make your plight visible

guys I agree with KDH, I've been reading a few of the posts on this thread and I feel so bad that you guys have to go through this, God knows how long it'll be before they start working on your cases. I suggest you apply for a K3 as well....My hubby and I also filed for a K3 and it wasn't sent to our local office, it was approved by CSC in 2 months, our I-130 however was approved by the local office...if the atlanta field office is going to take their time with the I-130s then the K3 might come in handy...all the best to all of you

Okay so heres my question. I looked at the K3 guide and says you still need an I-130. Since I already filled that out so I need to just do the I-129F? Is that correct? I figure might as well its worth the try and then do AOS when she gets here. Am I understanding this correct?

2/26/2013 : Infopass with Atlanta (confirmed file is there and no action yet. To be started in March)

03/18/2013 : 2nd Infopass (No review or processing of any stand-alone I-130s for 60-90 days. URGHHHHHHHHHH)

04/6/2013: NOA2 (228 days from NOA1)

Yes. Do You have your NOA1 paper notice? Because you need that. So you file I-129F and you obviously indicate on it that you are married. I don't think it will be sent to the Atlanta office as mine wasn't sent to a local office either. It's worth the try, mine actually survived the NVC and got sent to the consulate, but later the consulate closed the K3 path as I had an approved I-130.

Thanks for sharing. I just mailed in my package for the K-3 visa this morning. Although i will continue to persue the I-130, I have no confidence in Atlanta office processing them anytime soon. Its free, just attach your I-130 receipt notice to the package, and you should be fine. I am so angry now, but hopefully the K-3 wont take too long.

Your wife have to sign the G-325a (Biographic info)form. I had a soft copy of the one we used for the I-130, so she signed it, scanned, and email to me. You also need her passport picture. I thing that is all you need from your wife. Let me know if you have any further questions.

I am also filing the K3, it's a shame that as a legal citizen and tax payer I have to run through these hoops and consider uprooting myself and moving to another country but it is what it is.

For the form my wife has to file, are you sure it's ok to have her sign and email me a scan or does it have to be her real sign with pen? I ask because IRS sometimes won't accept black ink sign since they may be a printed copy and not original.

I think you shoukd be fine with a printed copy of it. My question is do we stil have to provide evidence? Silly question but I havnt seen anything on K3 guide and etc. about providing evidence.

I think I will have her send me a signed copy just in case, as for evidence the only things I sent as evidence with my i-130 were wedding certificate and pictures and that's what I will send now.

I am confused regarding this text from the officical I129 instructions (http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-129finstr.pdf) Page 3 Section 8

The life Act requires applicants to apply for a K-3 visa in the country where their marriage to the U.S. citizen petitioner occured. Petitioners should make sure to identify the appropriate consulate, in the same country where they married the alien for whom they are petitioning, in Block 20 to avoid lengthy delays.

I (petitioner) would be applying for the K3 visa here in US, what do they mean by the applicant applying for it in the country of marriage?

Hey guys I am about to send in my I-130 tomm. I live in Florida and I am worried that my case might be transferred to Atlanta field office.

Florida has 8 USCIS field offices, does anyone know if those living in Florida get transferred to a Florida field office?
