thanks God and we are now in the US.but my husbang is planning to apply for the food stamp.will there be any problem with that?since he is my sponsor and we also have a co sponsor.will my co sponsor be affected if we all apply for it?i just got here last august and now a green card holder.am i also eligible or not?thank you.

no nothing will be affected, as long as he is US citizen he is entitled to apply for it for himself, but he is not allowed to include you in order to get more money, just make sure he does it for him only and dont include u

9/24/12 Got email that greencard was sent in the mail

9/26/12 Received greencard in the mail, thank you lord!

thank you.so how are we going do that?we also have a us citizen daughter.so are you saying that if we apply for the food stamp and ask us how many are we in the household should he say that they are only two?him and my daughter?thank you so much.appreciate it?

You are correct you can apply for all USC members of the household. So for the stamps the household size is 2. However any income you make is included in household income. IF you were to apply it might cause them to go after your sponors for repayment.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

They will ask for HOUSEHOLD income so yes what you earn will be included, but for the number of people count you will NOT be included.

So if your husband earns $10,000 and you earn $10,000 then your household income is $20,000. But when they ask for number of people in the house, he would only put himself and your daughter. So it looks like "he" earns $20,000. Make sense?

right now he doesnt hve work.its just me working and i only make 800 dollars a month.so we really have a very low income.we are currently living in my sister in laws house who was my co sponsor.
