Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that while I was patiently waiting for a case complete email, not getting one, and sadly watching other vj-ers get theirs, a wee miracle happened today.. I got my interview date emailed this afternoon! So strange, I don't know why I didn't get a case complete, not that I'm complaining! I just think its interesting for others in case it could happen to them too.

All the best!

So I need someones help in this. Does an interview date gets scheduled after its been sent out of the NVC? Or do they schedule first then after getting a date they send it out? Because I keep making effort to call them everyday and they always tell me that they're waiting on Beirut to schedule. I asked them if they send it out then schedules she said no we usually schedule then send out the case according to the interview date. I emailed the embassy in Beirut they just replied and said they have not yet received my case from NVC so once they do they will notify NVC of the appropriate date. Keep calling them to find out.

Hey, the British dude (or chick idk it's hard to tell on a forum) was told that too a week ago and they got their date today.

USC chick married to a British dude :) I now firmly believe you can't trust what NVC tells you. I was in a funk all week thinking I wouldn't see my husband until January, then got the email for a date a lot sooner than I was expecting. I'm really hoping that everyone who has been waiting get some good news in the next few days.

I agree - everyone at the NVC says different things. The people that really know what's going on aren't on the phone (if they were they never would get anything done).

The explanation that seems to make the most sense is that interviews are scheduled whenever consulates/embassies say they're ready for more. I would guess that's around once a month for most of them (based on what we've seen), though for others the intervals are perhaps a bit longer.

Congrats and good luck to those still waiting!

What does that really mean though - it may be that they aren't sending the requests to the embassies anymore but if they hear back, you get your interview. My optimistic take anyway!

Yeah stay optimistic because like I said in another thread, I think, I spoke to Arthur at NVC this morning and he says they're still scheduling November. But, hey, only ~24 more days until they start scheduling December! .. yaay..

It means they're done with the major batch of appointments, but they'll still schedule some as cancellations/other factors open/reopen some november slots.

Yeah that was me. Wednesday evening the supervisor said "we'll be done by end of week." Last night some dude said "We're done with November." This morning Arthur told me "we're still scheduling for November."
