September 2012 AOS Filers

Talked to Tier 2 today and put in 2nd service request. Tier 1 told me that I had been emailed about our first service request (I did it online). I never got it - I check all my spam and regular email daily. If it was sent, I would have known about it so don't know where he pulled that from. Tier 2 said our application seem to have been "just sitting there for a long time." LOL ya think? She noted that everything looked ok and that the case is at the local office. Supposed to get a letter in the next couple of weeks with follow-up.

Now to ponder.. our case is at NBC or the local office? Who knows...you'd think after 7 months we'd have already had an interview.

I also made a second service request after filing in August and still on acceptance. I was told they received notice that they were overloaded and to wait until May 6th before calling again. I've only called twice. I'm wondering if this new Obama program for illegals is taking precedence over those who file legally. Any thoughts?

I have no doubt that is the case.

some one had posted a link that showed the number of DACA petitions processed by month - I wish i had saved it - it was from the uscis website. Very interesting that Aug 2012 was when large numbers of those started to be processed and that is the same time that i485 stopped being worked on. just sayin

I have not gotten a response on my service request that I put in almost a month ago.

Since interview-waiver applications were transferred from CSC to NBC starting on August 1st, 2012, my guess is that they still haven't figured out who's gonna take a look at these applications. Maybe they're in the process of hiring that new staff who'll look at them. I bet it's kinda like when you're really busy with your current workload and your boss comes and tells you, here's a gazillion I-485 applications even though you've never seen it before. Take your time, those AOS people are really patient.

I have exactly , ''mirror'' situation : I talked 2 times to tier 2 but never received any mail or letter regarding my first service request, second req is still pending - so far no reply as well... During 2 call to tier 2, I learned that my application is at the local office ( almost 7 months ??)and I am not scheduled for interview yet.. so... we are on same boat You are not the only one..

Hello Everyone,

We submitted out AOS package in September & received NOA on September 5th.

EAD & AP approved - received on November 15th.

When I check my case status online its still in the acceptance stage & mentions that its being processed at NBC.

Is NBC the same location where applications which do not need any interview get processed or are they 2 separate?

Its now been over 8 months since AOS was submitted & we are getting impatient.

Talking to customer service is no help as they are reading off the script & asking us to wait.

If you submitted in September you are not over 8 months and if you are at NBC they have not processed August yet. There were 2 July filers approved this week without an interview at NBC, so I think they are currently working on July applications. We are all getting impatient!

Well, I waited 30 days after the service request and although they told me I was well past date, told to wait another 30 days. Then I contacted my congressman for help but today, got a letter from his office saying that now I was WITHIN (last two months I was past due and then well past due) processing time frame and to wait another sixty days before submitting a follow up inquiry. My original filing was last August. I'm trying to keep my happy face lit up. Although most August filers on this site had interviews last November there are a few of us left behind. I did find out it is not at my local office but still at NBC. NBC wrote to the congressman that this case does not meet the expedite criteria and will not be expedited. So much for hope....back to waiting again.

Take heart elbear! I saw on another thread that someone received a response to a service request stating that NBC is now working on August 2012 cases and that their processing time is 6-9 months (which would explain why you are considered to be within processing times). Your day has to be coming very soon!!

We are at the mercy of USCIS. Calling.... Getting your Congressman or woman involved does nothing! There is nothing, that a Congress person can do to expedite your application.

Wait is all we are to do...

Could be worst.... There are some folks here in VisaJourney that are at their 10 and 11 months and still waiting...

No one.... no one from August 2012 who's package has been sitting at NBC have been approved!

Those who do get interviewed are the lucky ones...

After my second service request (no info after the first) i just received a letter stating that my application is still within the normal processing times at NBC...my NOA date is july 31st.

I have only seen 2 from July ... I Stalk the July 2012 aos thread daily

I still don't think they are working on them much at all. Now I understand why it costs so much, I'm paying by the month to store my application in a pile somewhere.

Their Waiting Time as of 4/20/2013:

275 days (9 months & 5 days) since AOS package was sent

260 days (8 months & 20 days) since NOA1

232 days (7 months & 22 days) since Biometrics taken

Congratulations!!!

Yeah! woooo hoooo! that is good news!

I know its silly that I have become so impatient, but we are moving at the end of the month and I was hoping to have the green card by then. I know its no big deal to submit a change of address form, but the way I see it, the less stuff I have to submit, the less chances for something to get lost or for a problem to occur. We are also going out of the country in a month and I would love to get it before we leave so I don;t have to think about it while we are gone..... probably not going to happen but who knows..

Another July filer at NBC got approved today!!! At least now we know they are finally working on them
