I agree... Hang in there... A Lot of times, we get that heart wrenching pull and anger at how slow the process is... Weve had to actually back off a bit on how deeply we get to talking with one another just so it goes away for awhile and we can recover from the insanity and frustration these processes brings us all.

The most worthy things are worth the effort and sacrifice... it will make you appreciate each other even more :)

Best wishes

Ed & Loida

Just sending hugs.....

Remember you are not alone in this,we all understand your frustration and of course theres times when the relationship with your husband/fiance becomes strained. This is not a 'normal' courtship,we have to find ways to feel close through communication only. After disagreements theres no opportunity to hug and make up.....its hard,as humans we're programmed to need our SO physically. Dont allow this messed up system to break you. Everyday is a day closer.

It's okay, chris and laura. Life can be tough the first couple of years of marriage. Especially if you have to spend a lot of that time apart! It'll be worth it, though! :) My wife and I were married and lived together for 3 years before we started this process. It's difficult when you're so used to being around the other person and now you can't even sleep in the same bed for a number of months. Once it's done, it's done and never has to be done again, though. That thought helps keep me positive.

I prefer to see trials as a flame. Flames can hurt, but a flame also reveals things you couldn't see before and also refines precious materials (gold, silver, etc.). So the trials in your marriage will reveal flaws, and will refine it into something better! Good luck and I hope your approval comes quickly!!

this whole process is just killing me :/ i miss my husband and think in some point this situation is ruining my marriage!!! :( i wish everything could be different...

peace

We married January 08. Wife didnt get here until May 09. I know what you are going through. Now she will be gone for 4 months with the US Air Force. I guess we learn coping skills. Just take it a day at a time and enjoy it for that day for what it is.

I don't know your backstory but it looks like you just got your NOA1 in August..... I hate to tell you this but if you're falling apart now, how are you going to handle the next few months of separation?

I went through child birth alone and am raising our first and only child alone and working a full time job, supporting our daughter, myself and my husband, who has been in immigration jail and El Salvador all this time... it's been 15 months since I was last with my husband, aside from two 9 day vacations this year. We aren't done with NVC yet and still have the 601 to file. By the time it's all said and done it could be 21 months total since we are reunited. If I sat down and truly thought about that every day it would kill me.
