I think I have seen a post about calling the NVC and asking for a tier 2 someone. The NVC received my case on 7/30/2012 I have called everyday, sometimes twice. I saw that someone who's case was received at the NVC at the same time as mine and they received their case number. Any advice on what I should do. one day they told me it was being entered and now they say it is in a pile in their mail room..

Gosh we must be in the same pile. I feel your pain. You see my time line. I just got off phone stillnothing but tomorrow is business day 10. There's nothing you can do because from the time they RECEIVED as they say its 10 to 20 nusiness days. Its funny that batch of cases they got 7/9 everybody K1 and CR1/IR1 got case#'s with 3 days.

So you me and I know PhilC are all July 30th. Lets see what happens tomorrow.

When you call for information on your case and they tell you "its in a pile in the mailroom" that is unexceptable. I would have been like really. It seems that person just didn't feel like looking up your information. I would call back again. Prayers going up high for dwheels76 and sweetieone!

I would suggest calling late at night after 9:30 - 10:00 pm, I have found that they are more friendlier and more willing to explain and help with information.

I go through your time line and find that you have a quick approval from USCIS and NVC also receive your case much quickly (within 3 days), that can be a reason for delay of getting case number as your priority date is not current till now. NVC received my case after 33 days of approval and they told as it is already being delay, I will get my case no early. They were right, I got my case no within 2 days after NVC received my case. I hope you will get your case no soon.

It's currently taking around a month from NOA2 to case number assigned, so you're actually still within current time frames. You can try asking for a supervisor (tier 2 is for USCIS) when you get connected to an operator, but that's about it (and they probably won't be able to help much, but worth a shot).

We have the same NOA2 Notice Date, I emailed n called NVC many times, they just like you should follow the instructions on the NOA2 paper, n you'll be noticed in 6 - 8 weeks.

I know one lady on chinese CR1 forum, her I-130 was approved on July 31, her NVC case number assigned on Aug 10, her DS3020/AOS bill came on Aug 14, everything goes fast there.

I sent NVC another email to ask for GUZ number two day ago, they just ignored that...

08-02-2012: Get NOA2 in mail box(they didnt send txtmsg n email this time)

08-06-2012: Email NVC to ask GUZ number(not assigned yet)

...calling nvc everyday but no result...

08-13-2012: Email NVC to ask GUZ number(havent reply yet)

Awww thank u sweetie. Funny one of the operators I think monday said my case was in the mailroom somewhere probably.

I mentioned you see I was approved 6/29 and it took 31 days to get to u. Actually on the 27th day I had to open a service request to actually have my case sent to NVC. Goodness.

Now today August 15th is my 10th business day. Oh boy!(Let's see if my receive date moves yet again its different every caller)
