They received my application April 5, 2012. Received NOA1 on April 9th,2012. Have not heard back yet...filed with CA service center. Anyone receive their NOA2???

It's a bit soon to hear back, but some have from CSC because they are working faster. 5 months is still the average. We are here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/361055-i-129f-april-2012-filers/

Lily7479, I just got a RFE today which means they're processing my application that has an April 6th NOA1 date. Yours should be happening very soon... keep the faith!

I answered that in the first post. Unfortunately, there is no way for anyone here to tell you exactly how long you will have to wait. We only have estimates here, and USCIS gives us the processing time. If you want to get a better idea though, the link in my previous post will take you to an April filers thread where many at CSC are already getting approved. You can take a look at their timelines as well.

[Good luck to everyone and thanks for the upadates. When you received your text/email for NOA2....can you receive it late evening hours or is it between 8am to 5pm regular business hours monday thru friday?? Just wondering cuz I'm checking the website a few times per day

I got an email & text indicating they mailed the RFE Monday, April 13th. I haven't received the official notice in the mail yet so I'm in the dark and have no idea what it could be. I raced home today to find an empty mailbox so I'm hoping tomorrow....

I filed in April and received my NOA2 on July 26th. Today I received Packet 4 and am in the process of booking the medical and my interview. I signed up for the text alert, but never received anything. However, I did receive their e-mail alert and I still remember how happy I felt when I got it. It seemed like nothing was happening with my application...not even a touch! I was so surprised when I got my NOA2. Hopefully everyone who is waiting for theirs will get it soon. Things move so much more quickly afterwards...and you'll just be bubbling over with excitement. :)

No. CSC are working on Feb/March/April/May/June for some reason, no one knows why. hang tight. The average that was updated on the USCIS website last week still showed 5 months. I read somewhere that the CSC was telling callers they are working on Feb petitions, can't remember the date. You can try calling for an update after your 5 months, but its not likely you will get too much of a response in regards to when you will be approved, however, if you are really worried, then this can give you some comfort at least if you call and ask them to check that your petition is not lost, if thats all you need, then give yourself that peace of mind and call. :)

You can, but it more than likely won't do you any good to inquire about a petition being lost that is within normal processing times.
