Am I the only one who feels somewhat OCD about checking the USCIS website for I-130 approval? I check it about 4-5 times a day every day. Even on days I KNOW they are not open. I want to know if anyone else has the same "problem."

How often do you check the website?

I feel like there should be a support group for this. :lol:

You are not alone my friend. Everyday...even though I'm signed up for the text and email notifications...I check it. Just wanting a small glimmer or hope that someone has looked at my papers.

hahahahahaha you are not alone, before i got my NOA2 i check that website like ten times in a day, its weird but u can't help it............the day i got approved, i checked before i went to bed and it was at initial review still, an hour later my hubby woke me up and told me we have been approved yes.gifyes.gif

With my husband's case I checked it EVERY 2 seconds. Usually on my phone. When I was still in bed when I just woke up, while going to the bathroom, before I got to work, 10 times at work, when I left work, while stuck in traffic, when I got home, after dinner, when I got in bed, inthe middle of the night, EVERY time I got a text or email.

I finally got a text while doing 80 down a Chicago highway. I cried. While doing 80 down a Chicago highway. Lol :bonk:

9/17/2011 - sent I-13

09/19/2011 - noa1 received

3/16/2012 - case sent to my local USCIS office for additional processing

4/21/2012 - AP. If we haven't heard from them in SIX MONTHS (omg) we can feel free to call them!!! Thanks!

9/20/2012 - Interview scheduled - October 3!!!!

10/3/2012 - Interview went well but she must look at his A-file more before decision.

10/12/2012 - I-130 APPROVED! APPROVED! APPROVED!

I also check their website all the time (at list once a day). :)

Day 1- Package sent to Chicago Lockbox 06/12/2012

Day 3- Package received 06/14/2012

Day 7- NOA's emails received 06/18/2012

Day 10- NOA's Hard copies received 06/21/2012

Day 18- Biometrics appointment notice received 06/29/2012

Day 32- Biometrics done! 07/13/2012

Day 59- Online update - they mailed me a notice - interview scheduled for September 13! Soooo happy! 08/09/2012

Day 94- Interview done - wait for NOA2 in the mail 09/13/2012

Day 95- I-130 Approved - NOA2 in the mail (online update) - I485 still on "interview notice" status (09/14/2012)

Day 98- Online update on the I-485 - they mailed me a welcome letter!! :) (09/17/2012)

Day 101- Online update - On September 20, 2012, we ordered production of your new card. (09/20/2012)

Day 102- online update - On September 21, 2012, we mailed your card to the address we have on file! SUPER HAPPY!!!!

Day 105- Received Green Card in the mail! (09/24/2012)

I check religiously. Then I come to VJ and read. Haha. Sometimes the stuff on VJ makes me sad. I decided to read the reviews of the Montreal embassy so that I know what to prepare for as I am going with my fiance for his interview. All the stories made me cry. I'm so happy for the people that have been approved just waiting for our time is rough. But I check probably 9-10 times a day. Nothing changes. It won't for a while. But its the mind set that one of those times, I'll log in and see "Approved" on it.

This visa process has me an emotional wreck lol We need a support group or something on here where people just go to vent, cry and laugh lol "USCIS Status Check Addicts" haha
