Unfortunately, a signature is needed on that page, so a scanned copy wouldn't work as NVC only accepts original signatures. You'll need to print out that page of the DS-230 with the corrected information, sign it, and then mail it out.

--omg!!:( the rep Nigel said a completed form can be scanned:(

my husband mailed it already:( it'll get to nvc on thursday.. can i mail another signed copy ? which could be in nvc prolly monday the soonest..

I suggest waiting and seeing what NVC says in response. They may accept it; it depends on the reviewing officer.

thanks Saylin...nvc operators are so unreliable:( my husband called and was told it should be with original signature:( so i called back again and was told the same thing:(

so i asked if i can mail another one so it won't take another 10 days to wait for a checklist asking the same docs and then another 10 days to review again.so 20 days in total.. the operator just said it's up to me:( why is that so? i said i need a clear answer, a yes or no.. i asked if i'll send with the same cover sheet would it be ok, he said it's ok..so i confirmed if i send the right docs while there's already another one on its way would nvc accept it, answer is again ' it's up to you maam...was furious with the operators:( he's name is john with a terrible accent:(

i guess i'll just have to wait then... could take the whole july until case complete...

Tried calling NVC tonight to see if they accepted our AOS, which was sent last Monday. And was reminded again why calling NVC means I need to take more blood pressure meds.

"Ma'am, your file will be reviewed within the next **20 BUSINESS DAYS**, I suggest calling back after that point".

UGH. I'm starting to worry I'll be on the August NVC thread...and the September....and longer :crying:

Hi everyone,

Saylin, I am preparing for my interview next Tuesday and want to make sure I have everything. Here is what I am taking:

Interview (P4) letter for myself and son

Email stating that interview has been rescheduled

Express post envelope (for return of visa and docs - australia only)

Original marriage cert and divorce cert as requested on P4 letter

Copy of I130, I864 and DS230 packets for both myself and my son

Passports for both

Evidence (not really sure what to take here. We have lived together for the past 9 years and have been married for 7 and have a 4 yr old son together. Also my hubby will be with me at the interview. What more do I need to prove a Bona fide relationship? Will photos do anything?)

Also, do I need two passport sized photos of me and my son?

Please let me know if there is anything I have missed.

Looks like you have everything. And yes, most consulates/embassies require passport photos at the interview. In Canada, two are required.

As for evidence, bring photos of you two together over the years in different places and most importantly, with each other's family. Bring proof of co-mingling finances, if applicable (share a bank account or something). Typically, being together and having a child together, isn't strong proof. Anyone can get together, have sex, and have a child. It doesn't really prove anything. Some people will do anything to get a green card. But, you have been together longer than most, so that's a definite plus on your end.

Ok, I have a question. WIll my finace be responsible for any fees when she goes for the interview? I know the medical cost is 200 I think. Do I need to pay it or send money to her? Does she have to pay for the her visa at the time of her interview? Isn't it 350? I'm trying to read through all this, but it's a lot to take in.

Hi all, I am waiting for my NVC# and in the mean time preparing AOS and DS-230 packages. Got a few confusions, hope if anyone can give some advices, thanks!!

1. Since my case is at Guangzhou I read that I should send the OPTIN email after AOS invoiced, and in that email I should attach the DS-3032. My question is this email should be sent to NVCElectronic@state.gov or NVCINQUIRY@state.gov?

And the template should follow this? (with Subject change to OPTIN GUZ...)

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Email_DS-3032_form

2. Once OPTIN is done, how should I find out if my GUZ# has been updated to GZO#? I will receive email from NVC?

3. In DS-230 package I see sometimes people mention "supplemental sheet". What is this? I didn't find much information about this sheet. Is it the pdf from this site?? (choose GZO)

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3830.html

Thanks everyone!!
