Anyone call the VSC lately for updates on their case? Did they provide you with the current processing date for the I-129F.... something like "We are currently procssing applications from January 15? If so, what day did you call and what date did they provide? They seem to be working slow lately.

Anyone who's just going to say something like 'chill out' or 'they will get to yours' blah blah blah, I don't want to hear it. Those kind of answers are worthless.

Actually got 1/09 out of them...Which is pretty disappointing. They continue to operate in slow motion...Next thing you know they'll be going backwards...I don't understand how it could possibly have taken 2 months to process our petitions. and we're not even 50% of the way there yet. it's insane.

There have been many situations, including mine, where people who are past the processing date have called and gotten nowhere. But, surprisingly get approved that night or the next day.

Coincidence or not? Who knows? But it was nice when it happened!

I called about a week before the 5 months was up for the service request. The service request was specific to say that it was beyond processing time. I got a response about 11 days later saying a decision should be made in 60 days. Weird to say things are taking too long, just wait longer. I called back the NCSC because when I put in the service request the rep told me everything should be answered like whether its been assigned or if they need anything from me, ect. Nothing like that was provided in the response to the service request. With calling back I was told they need nothing from me, it wasnt assigned yet, and their processing date was Dec 15.

my 5 months mark was up yesterday but I'll give them some time... if we hear nothing by Monday , we will give them a call... I can't actually believe it came down to this... Looking at other people's approvals I was sure we would be long time approved now... like at least 2 weeks! When we filed back in January, I couldn't wait for the time when we reach 5 months, now I am getting more frustrated each day!

Same case with us. Sent in the docs mid January, and still waiting. I don't understand how they can take so long to process these things... and some people really have to put their lives "on hold" until this whole drama is over. We are expecting to hear something from Vermont this week... let's see if it works. Wishing you all lots of patience and success!

Ours was 2 days short of exactly 5 months and if you call you will get the canned and standard answer about how many applications there are. We are now have the same fun with the NVC and when I call (process time supposedly 15 days I checked on day 18) I was told a familiar answer "we really have a unusual large amount of applications right now and we are processing them as fast as we can" so you will hurry through one government agency only to try to get through another slow one.

Good luck and it doesn't hurt to call and then call again since each time you will get a different person and a different approach to the problem.

Yea i know, i was real positive at the beginning now i doubt..they say we are processing jan 15? Well that is past the 5 month mark a week ago, so they really need to give an answer or change the date on the uscis website to 5.5 months!

FYI - Dec 7th filer, got RFE before 5 months, notice of receipt April 25th, Service Request reply said sixty days(seems like standard language)still waiting, no indication file touched since April 25th.

Send 21 day follow up email to VSC, no reply on that yet.

sounds like we are all in the same boat

I don't have any faith in what they say on the phone. I can see from looking at the timeline page on here that there are still quite a number of January petitions outstanding. A couple February have been approved. We know they don't go strictly in order, even leaving out the "expedited" cases.

When you look at the timeline page, you're seeing a summary of what a bunch of people on this site have actually had happen, not hearing what one person at VSC thinks is going on today.

Right now, if I had a date in the first week of January I might try calling, FWIW. But later than that, there are still lots of cases outstanding. IMO, the timeline page gives you a much better idea of where you are in line than calling VSC does.

I was at CSC not VSC, but maybe what happened with me will make you feel better? I applied in September, and didn't hear anything until over 6 months later. The estimated time was only 5 months, so 5 months and 1 day later I called. They told me they would give me an answer within 30 days. Over 30 days later I recieved an answer. Also, I've heard that many applications come in during the new year and that may also push your time back.

Waiting sucks.

Good luck and may the power of love be with you.
