They send you a letter in the mail about approximately 3 weeks after NOA...they don't send you an email and if you check your case status on USCIS website, it will still say Initial Review. BUT in the description below, instead of the saying on XXXX we sent you NOA, they say that on YYYY we sent you an appointment letter for your biometrics.

Our story: K1 -> AOS -> ROC -> Naturalization (2012 - current)

Thank you guys..Even the Application status on the USCIS for the I-148 still says Acceptance while the Employment Authorization says initial review..........im not even bother about the GC cos its obvious that it could take forever.........6 months. Just wanna be out there working or something.

I have received my first NOA, but am waiting for my biometrics apointment.

On the website I am in the "Acceptance" phase and this is what it says for me:

"On June 6, 2012, your fingerprint fee was accepted and we have mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. Your case is being processed at our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you."

Is the notice described above just the NOA I have already received by mail, or a biometrics letter that might be on its way?

The NOA I received does not say anything specific about how my case is being processed (It says to check that my personal info is correct & that the next steps in my case are biometrics / I will be getting my appointment by mail)

Thank you!!!

(2012)

Feb 5 - Entered USA

May 1 - married

May 5 - medical exam

may 31 - sent in AOS/EAD/AP

june 10 - received NOA for AOS/EAD/AP

june 15 - received letter for biometrics appt. (July 5)

july 5 - biometrics completed

july 17 - email & text: interview date is Aug 20
