I'm wondering that too! We also sent it to California the 15th and I know the package arrived the 18th, but they have not cashed the check, and I really need to get the NOA 1, with the extension of my residency, so I can travel to Ecuador for my son's graduation and be able to get in again :(

Have you all joined the May 2012 Filers thread? The NOA1 date is usually very similar to the check cashed date.

Actually, the NOA date is pre-dated a couple of days after you sent in the package but people aren't getting them for at least two weeks. Checks are being cashed around then as well. I called last week and they said to wait 30 days before calling and they couldn't look into it until then.

As I said, The NOA1 date is usually very similar to the check cashed date, sometimes it is the same day, sometimes it is before, sometimes it is after, it is a very similar date. I didn't say that was when they would receive it, the NOA1 usually arrives 2-3 weeks after they have received it. I don't know what you mean by "pre-dated".

I mean that the NOA is dated a couple of days after they receive the package but you may not get it for a couple of weeks, hence being a date significantly before you receive it.

That is incorrect. The NOA1 can be dated a couple of days after, it can have the same date as the date the check was cashed or it can have a date before the NOA1, it really depends. As I said before, normally it takes 2-3 weeks to receive your NOA1.
