I have a question...i am reading this forum non stop basically...but i still have questions,yes :)

Ok...i am the beneficiary ,and soon i'm about to fill out ds-230...my question is....can i download the form from the internet,and start filling it out...or NVC will send me a bar coded copy,which i'll have to use?

Yeah...You can download the form from the internet and start to fill up...You will see Expiration date 04/30/2012 on top right corner of the form but thats for their internal use and is the latest form as of now.

When you pay your IV package Fee, NVC will automatically generate the bar code for individual case. You have to put "BAR CODE COPY" in the IV package which also include your DS-230....

You can download and fill it out. Don't forget to sign and date part I only (dont sign part II)..

April 02, 2012 - Received case #, IIN, submitted email addresses

April 03, 2012 - AOS bill invoiced & paid; 'IN PROCESS'

April 03, 2012 - emailed DS-3032

April 04, 2012 - AOS fee cleared from bank account

April 06, 2012 - DS-3032 acceptance email received

April 10, 2012 - AOS payment 'PAID'; AOS package sent

April 16, 2012 - AOS accepted/completed

April 25, 2012 - IV bill invoiced & paid; 'IN PROCESS'

April 27, 2012 - IV payment 'PAID'; IV package sent

Yeah...You can download the form from the internet and start to fill up...You will see Expiration date 04/30/2012 on top right corner of the form but thats for their internal use and is the latest form as of now.

You will gonna get instruction from NVC but you dont have to wait for it. It might take another 10 days to get instructions . Follow the instructions what you have on your payment portal and Follow the link below to prepare for the IV package and the whole NVC process

Most important: Even your IV package is already ready, you have to wait until your payment status should show " PAID"

No, The bar code thing is the coversheet that you get after you pay the fee. You should start filling right away:) of course it can't be sent unless IV Bill says its paid. Hope that's helpful:)

Yeah,thats what i did...the online payment portal still says IN PROCESS for the IV fee..maybe tomorrow it'll show PAID.

I filled out DS-230 already...its printed out,and ready to send ...

Will check on it tomorrow again...and i'll see if we have any e-mails as well..
