But how come the petition approved??? If the petitioner does not meet the requirements, they will ask the petitioner to find a co sponsor..am I right?? How come the wife need a co-sponsor??

yes but the consulate officer has the final say as to whether or not the i 864 is accepted, The NVC merely checks to see if you have all the needed papers.

the petition has nothing to do with the i 864-AOS...this is for the immigrant visa stage of the process. The USCIS just checks to make sure you have a bona fide marriage
