Those aren't January petitions, they're any petition approved in January.

Not necessarily. It doesn't meant they've approved 2,010 February petitions, it means they approved 2,010 petitions in February.

For example. If you filed your petition in October, and it was approved in February, it would be one of those 2,010.

Thank u. Now that makes sense :]

One hopes they are completing it chronologically, which is only fair. The chart indicates completed IN a particular month not FOR the month. Any way you look at it, CSC has not been completing many I129 F or 130s. I guess their priorities are elsewhere.

3/22/2012: Sent I-129F from Spain to Dallas Lockbox

3/29/2012: Packet received at CSC

4/2/2012: Touched

4/3/2012: Received Email notification of Receipt w/ case number

UCIS has averaged 2,197 more completions than receipts in the last 25 months. Although almost half of the number of receipts in 2011 are waiting on action. 43% of the receipts in the 25 month time period are waiting on action.

Either they have a backlog that hardly ever gets addressed or the numbers don't make much sense.

Nice. Is that the reason why they "last updated" our I-130 again a week ago in their website? So we should be getting more updates eventually? I hope we get our approval very soon

Just FYI, USCIS has published the processing volumes and trend for Jan and Feb 2012

http://dashboard.uscis.gov/

They were so behind in the statistics, I thought they had given it up lol.

so this means there almost done for feb'12 filer I-129F (CSC)

Completions: 2,107

Receipts: 2,137

out of 2137 receipt only 30 left for completions...lol i hope so..if ever, i'm probably one of the 30 receipt left for feb'12 filers lol

The longer it takes to happen the more you'll appreciate it when it does!

If you analyze the dashboard data, a significant increase in the submission of I-129F petitions occurs each March (between February and March for 2010, 2011, and a similar trend in 2012). It is very likely that any change in processing times will only affect petitions submitted during this influx. They will want to continue to approve as many of the previously submitted petitions as possible because the backlog will only grow if they don't address it. They will not suddenly have our petitions being approved months from now. I'm confident that we are all very close and very safe. So if there's any merit to this idea of an increased processing time, it will most likely be affecting March filers and beyond. July also appears to be another popular month with an increase in submissions. March was quite significant however. It's interesting to see. But hopefully they will do something about the influx and assign more adjudicators because it's unfortunate for anyone who has recently filed or will be filing soon.

Very wishful thinking, I am guessing you still have at least 3 more months to wait if you are a february filler.

Can anyone tell me then what these estimates are for on the VJ Timeline section? I took this to mean for example- CR-1 petitions from Jan 7th forward were being worked on right now. Is this correct??

oops! I meant to add this was for the VSC.

These dates are the guess-simated processing dates based on VJ member reported timelines. They are as accurate as the VJ timeline data they are based on. Don't know about CR-1 but for K-1, the processing date is about right +- 7 days

I called and spoke with USCIS cust serv rep yesterday (5/1/2012).

My husband and I filed an I-130 for CR-1 visa on Jan 12, 2012. According to VSC, they claim to be processing apps from Jan 16, 2012.... But I haven't heard anything about ours yet.... and 2 weeks ago when I called, they claimed to be working on Dec 25,2011... but 6 weeks ago they said they were on Jan 1, 2012.

Honestly, I don't think anyone is giving accurate information.. I think they might be TRYING, but they are not helping with giving us dates further ahead than they are :(
