Feb 5/08 - Sent paperwork by USPS - priority

Feb 14/08 - NOA issued

Feb 28/08 - Biometrics letter received for The Bronx Office - have to reschedule

Mar 22/08 - Biometrics rescheduled - LOVE the Saturday appointment!

Feb ?/09 - done!

I was just thinking how lucky that little calf was that day and how lucky you were too that day!!!! It's not often we can say we actually saved a life!!!!!

Your family is so blessed to live the life that you do..... something kids everywhere could learn a lot from.

I thought since Laura had asked how the calf was doing, that I'd give you all a brief update. :)

"Lovey", as we've named her is well and thriving and frolicking whenever I set her free from the barn. She is now just over 2 months old and has more than doubled in size. She no longer needs the bottle, taking her milk replacement from a bucket instead now and has just begun learning to eat grass. We're working on her eating feed so that we can begin to wean her from the milk.

Yes, she's definitely special to us and has worked her way into our hearts. I even walk her on a long leash hehe and if I get home from work before Alli's schoolbus arrives, I sometimes get Lovey from the barn, put on her halter and leash, and meet Alli at the bus with her. Which thrills all the other kids on the bus to no end hahaha.

Here's a pic taken just this afternoon of Alli giving Lovey some grass to eat..

And another taken when our neighbor's dog paid us a visit and he and Lovey got along FAMOUSLY!!

She even gave him a kiss! Look! :D

12/08/08: Interview @ 1:00pm. APPROVED!

01/05/09: Oath Ceremony 10:00AM. Now officially a USC!!!

I figured I would update y'all on how Lovey's doing, for those who might be interested...lol.

She is now almost 5 months old and weighs 150 lbs. and still growing. She just finished being weaned from formula yesterday and is eating feed just fine. I am preparing her to be released to the herd within the next few days. I have to let my baby go. :crying: It's time.

As can be seen by this pic taken this morning, Lovey has ceratinly grown since that day in February when I found her half-dead in the field. She has become as attached to us as much as we are to her as is evident in how VERY much she loves to have her neck scratched hahaha....

04/02/2005 Sent fee bill overnight to NVC

04/15/2005 Received IV Visa bill.

04/16/2005 Overnighted IV Visa bill.

05/11/2005 Received I-864 packet.

05/16/2005 Faxed requests for tax return transcripts.

06/01/2005 Received tax returns from IRS.

06/02/2005 Received W-2's from IRS.

06/03/2005 Mailed I-864 packet with required documents.
