My wife just got the letter from the doctor, I am not really happy about the letter. It is too short and not detailed. The doctor just says : that my wife is her patient and give until what date, he also says that she is on a high risk pregnancy due too some complications. Please expedite the visa for her husband... is that convincing enough?

Well send that in together with a letter from your wife where she explains the situation. Tell her to put down exactly how this pregnancy is effecting her and how having you around would help her. Tell her to include every little thing she can come to think of. The more info they got the bigger is the chance for expedite.

Oh that is good news. How did you manage to find that out about big batch being scanned tonight? I am optimistic about tomorrow.

I went in dummy mood and said so you guys scann each one as they come in and then she explained well the part about the big batch i think sliped out. she was really nice tho. Sometimes you gotta let them know you know the process and other time u gotta pretend to not know, right now everytime i call im pretending i dont know, until i get the same person who delt with me before lolll.

I should be studying for an exam, but I did some research.

It's taken me a few days, but, here is the reason why DoS can see things USCIS and NVC can not:

The Enforcement Integrated Database (EID) is a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) shared common database repository for DHS, law enforcement and homeland security applications. It is owned and operated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). EID is the repository for all records created, updated, and accessed by a number of software applications collectively referred to as the ―ENFORCE applications.

Users of ENFORCE applications are DHS law enforcement agents/officers, CBP Officers and Border Patrol Agents, Office of the Inspector General Special Agents, and Task Force Officers, immigration officers (USCIS), Adjudication Officers and Asylum Officers, and law enforcement support personnel.

There are numerous depositories of EID applications. USCIS, DOS, ICE, CBP all have their own unique application that is linked with the EID system.

Data is added to EID in one of two ways. First, EID users may manually input data into EID obtained from other systems or sources (such as the subject, identity documents, etc.). Second, EID may receive the data electronically from another system, through an extract or system-to-system connection. This is why DoS will know things, before USCIS or NVC, and vice versa.

We will concentrate on just USCIS and DoS systems.

USCIS‘s Central Index System is known as CIS. Alien File and Central Index System is named SORN. Student and Exchange Visitor Information System is SEVIS. Refugee, Asylum, and Parole System is RAPS.

CIS sends biographical and historical information about subjects to EID via a direct system to system interface.

State Department‘s (DoS) Consular Affairs Consolidated Database is named CCD, this is where Visa Records are stored. Users query CCD and manually input into EID the information from an alien visa application, including U.S. and foreign addresses, biographical information, and passport information.

DoS IDENT application stores fingerprint and/or photographic and limited biographic data collected for national security, law enforcement, immigration, intelligence, and other mission-related functions. IDENT provides EID with certain information on subjects, such as port of entry information, biographical and identifying information, including name, date of birth, visa and passport information.

DHS (USCIS, NVC, DoS) collects some of the information in the EID directly from an applicant, sponsor, or representative of an individual during the immigration benefit process and other DHS benefit and registration processes. Public and commercially available record sources. Public sources include local, state and national newspapers in electronic form, sex offense registries, and local law enforcement sites.

EID records are to be kept for 100 years. These records are proposed to be retained for at least the lifetime of the individuals to whom they pertain, because they document the immigration, possible arrest, detention, and possible removal of individuals from the United States.

DHS shares EID information with federal, state, local, tribal, foreign, or international government agencies and task forces that demonstrate a need to know in the performance of their missions consistent with DHS national security, law enforcement, immigration, trade, intelligence, or other mission-related functions.

Well, my thoughts are like this - the doctor did say it was a high risk pregnancy, and he did ask for your case to be expedited. It does tell the embassy what they need to know. I would send it! Does your wife still have that doctor's report you mentioned, where some of the problems were written down by the doctor? Send that too, if she does have it. Also, like Alaska said - if your wife writes a very detailed letter explaining what's wrong, that should work too. Send as much information as you can get.

Grats! kicking.gifkicking.gif

Thanks. If I haven't written a review of the interview, remind me at the weekend.

Hey all, I've been crazy busy getting ready for the interview and getting things ready for Sue's (hopefully) arrival. Something just crossed my mind... do I need a certified copy of my divorce decree for the interview? I can get one tomorrow if need be.

Hey Foobaz, been thinking about you and your wife's interview.

Well, it's official. The Canadian Wives of VJ (well, the two that spoke up plus me) now have a team T-shirt. Saylin/Sheeshkabelle - pics are incoming :D:dance:

Can you post a picture here for the rest of us to admire?

;) I'll see what I can do :D I'm still laughing - my mother in law told the congressman that we're all being treated like mushrooms (kept in the dark and fed manure - and yes, she said that part too! :D I LOVE my mother in law!!)

:)

Because Canadians are just too polite to say it! We say it in a way outsiders have to sit an think a minute about what we just said to them. My husband is amazed at my ability to tell someone where to go and make it sound like a compliment.

With my accent, hubby says you have to think twice to tell if you've just been insulted.

OK thank you i will do that but do you think this doctor's letter good?

Well send that in together with a letter from your wife where she explains the situation. Tell her to put down exactly how this pregnancy is effecting her and how having you around would help her. Tell her to include every little thing she can come to think of. The more info they got the bigger is the chance for expedite.
