I entered on a K1 in October 1st and got married a week later. Because of the both money and Civil Surgeon issues I couldn't file until late December. We sent the papers in on December 27th, before the I-94 on my visa expired but they weren't received by the USCIS until January 3rd, 2012, which is the date on the NOA hard copies. I was approved for AP/EAD last week and transferred to CSC for the I-485 last week as well. Here's my issue: If the AP arrives some time in the next month, I would like to attend my brother's wedding in Mexico in late April. However, because I did accumulate 4 days of overstay I am not sure it would be a wise move. If the GC approval and card came in, I understand it would be a non-issue, but as I am waiting for that I wonder if I should just nix the idea, since I don't want to incur in a ban. Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks in advance.

11/30/2014: Called USCIS, Biometrics appointment not received yet. Appointment letter never delivered to correct address.

12/05/2014: Finally receive Biometrics appointment letter in the mail.

12/30/2014: Biometrics taken in El Paso, Texas ASC

05/08/2015: Approval notice received by email and text

05/10/2015: Approval notice received by mail

05/15/2015: GC in hand

-RoC processed at Vermont, approved in 248 days

06/20/2015: Will be able to early file N-400

The ban only starts with 180 days of overstay. 4 days is no problem. Have fun at the wedding!

Thanks for the replies. I can't wait for a day when I don't have to focus on the fine print of my every move so carefully!
