Hey VJers!

My Fiance and I filed back in October, and got the application sent back to us in november because we had the amount of the check for the application wrong.

We fixed the check so it was the right amount and sent it back. However, when we sent our petition in october, we sent it in a hard cover binder. When the sent the application back for us to correct the check, they didnt return the binder, just the paperwork. When we sent the application back to them, we just returned it in an envelope since they kept the binder. Can this pose a problem?

Is there a chance our application can be rejected because of this? Is there a higher chance of our application or papers getting lost because of this? Or will they put it in a folder? Any help is appreciated!

It will not pose a problem; you didnt get the binder when they mailed it back because they trashed it. When they receive a petition they arrange it the way they want it arranged.

They give them to their kids for school work. No problems, you never needed the binder to begin with.

They toss out things like binders. It is advised not to send in your paperwork that way. They place the documents in the order they like them in their own way, in their own folder files. Just clipping papers together with some paper clips and sticking them in an envelope is all that is needed for mailing in your petition. http://www.visajourney.com/content/assembly

The binder was just so much trash at the end of the day for them. The have folders that they put the petition in, it has the two hole with the metal binder at the top, folder even has special printing on the outside... got to view mine at the embassy last week.

I used one of those heavy duty paper clips.
