If you are talking about financial support the 2200 will not be enough that is for sure. As you need to show the Tax Return, Pay Stabs, Employment Letter, etc... to prove your income.

Make sure your joint sponsor also provides proof that they are a US citizen or permanent resident.

hi, you probably want to see this website..it has an example how USCIS calculate your income.

http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/86991.pdf

Example for a Household of 4:

125% Poverty Guideline (48 Contiguous States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Guam) $28,812(2012)

Sponsor’s Income

$20,500

Difference

$8,312

Multiply by 5

X 5

Minimum Required Net Value of Assets

$41,560

The longer it takes to happen the more you'll appreciate it when it does!

Assets need to be 3X the shortage if the immigrant is the spouse of the sponsor. It's 5X for everyone else.
