Congratulations! When I first saw that it takes 5 months in the CSC, I was worried but then found out from this forum about the auto expediting and was hopeful. YEAH! Hope it works for your too!

Aniane,

Looks like we are in the same boat. Got the confirmation receipt by email saying the file is going to the CSC.

Hopefully the rest of the process will stay smooth just like this!

Hi everyone, I'm living in Ireland with my husband who's Irish. We just sent our i130 off and so far so good (crossing our fingers!)

1. Country USC resides in: Ireland

2. Is there a USCIS field office in this country / Is DCF still possible? No

3. When did you file the I-130: April 2012

4. How long had you been living abroad: 3 years

5. Do you reside in the country legally? Yes

6. What is the reason for your residence: work permit/student/tourist/other - Work

7. Did you list your foreign address on all forms in I-130 package? Yes, I also included my mother's US address which we intend on living when we move.

8. Did you send I-130 package from abroad? Yes

9. Did you include evidence of your residence abroad in the I-130 package? Yes, lease agreements from the last 2 years (I hope that's enough!)

10. Did you mention the fact you reside abroad in the cover letter or write a letter describing your current situation and the evolution of your relationship with your spouse (mentioning your residence abroad)? Yes

11. Has your case been "auto-expedited"? How long between NOA1 and NOA2? I'm not sure yet but will keep you posted :)

I guess that you get the NOAs in your address abroad. Plz you guys correct me if Im wrong.

The US address its only for where you intent to live, your address its the one they gonna use for replies. You should put the e-notification form in your package too. So you gonna get the replies by email too.

I guess Laurie got her NOAs in France, normally.

BTW, are you applying from Brazil? Me too =)

Thanks. I will be filing the E-Notification form as well, so it sounds like I'll be fine.

I'm applying from Brazil as well. I will try to send out this week. Hopefully it goes as smooth as yours has so far.

Hi everyone! The expedite stuff does seem to work - much to our delight!

1. Country USC resides in: Spain

2. Is there a USCIS field office in this country / Is DCF still possible? No

3. When did you file the I-130: April 24th 2012

4. How long had you been living abroad: 3 years

5. Do you reside in the country legally? Yes

6. What is the reason for your residence: work permit/student/tourist/other - Marriage to Spanish Citizen

7. Did you list your foreign address on all forms in I-130 package? Yes, as my current address and as the return address on the envelope

8. Did you send I-130 package from abroad? Yes

9. Did you include evidence of your residence abroad in the I-130 package? Yes, our current lease agreement

10. Did you mention the fact you reside abroad in the cover letter or write a letter describing your current situation and the evolution of your relationship with your spouse (mentioning your residence abroad)? On the cover letter I wrote that I was submitting the i-130 as an original submission from Spain. I also included an Evolution of Relationship letter in which I mentioned we currently live together in Spain. I also wrote on the outside of the envelope I-130 Original Submission from Spain.

11. Has your case been "auto-expedited"? How long between NOA1 and NOA2? YES! We never received the emails, although I filled out the g-1145, so I called USCIS after 10 business days. They received the package on April 27th and the case was approved on May 8th, so although we didn't get the NOAs it was a total of 11 days!

Best of luck to all!

Glad to see this path is still open and you guys are getting your I-130s approved in days!

To answer someone a few pages ago: they DO send your NOAs abroad, don't worry. The call center agents just don't know and most will tell you they don't, which is incorrect.

I kind of miss the good ol'days of filing for the petition/visa, everything went so smoothly for us... now I'm having major post-POE difficulties and it drives me nuts (in a nutshell, CBP misspelled my name at POE, so there's no record of my arrival, and I can't get a social security number/driving license, etc... and still struggling to have it corrected somehow).
