Another thing that makes me happy: being alone at home, the TV turned on, soda and pizza on the coffee table.

Is it legal to put soda and pizza on the "coffee" table?!!! :blink::unsure:

If the wife isn't home, yes. It's even legal to put soda on the table and NOT have any pesky coasters to bother with!

If I catch you with your feet up there one more time, I'm going to have to cut them off.

yum. Something my husband and I do is make cardamon spiced coffee. To the coffee grounds in the drip through pot we add a tablespoon of cardamon pods and a teaspoon of cloves which we run through the coffee mill first. Wonderful taste, especially on a cool morning:-).

oh, i see, it must be ground to the same degree that the coffe beans are. right? otehrwise it just all falls thrugh. or is that what you want anyways? :huh:

It doesn't have to be ground as finely as the coffee - just broken up so to release the flavour as the water soaks through. Before we had the coffee mill I used to pound the cardamon pods open with a hammer then grind them with a mortar and pestle. We put the pods as well as the seeds in with the coffee. The cloves don't really need to be ground up but we do because we are already milling the cardamon.

Time to start making fall coffee. :)

In the fall I sometimes add a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg to the grounds before I brew a pot. Gives the coffee a warm flavor. :)

Also what's good to have at this time of year is good smelling candles. I love walking in to a house that smells like a delicious candle. Like sugar cookie, cinnamon, baked apples, mocha, and pumpkin spice scents. *snifff*

mmmm...pumpkin.... there's nothing like a good pumpkin pie, or my sister's made from scratch carrot cake. yummy
