Hi all,

we just received our NOA2 a few days ago (woop!), but the problem is that the petitioner, my husband, is currently deployed with the navy and will be so for a few more months. I want us as prepared as possible for when he gets home and can fill out the aos forms and get his tax docs in order, but what are the steps I can take? I know I need to get our case #, IIN, and I can obviously have my ds-230 ready to be sent out, but can my husband pay the fees when he hits port even though we will not be able to send either of the packages until he gets back to the US? He has the English version of our marriage certificate so I can't even send out my package. Am I missing something, any thoughts what I could do?

Thank you so much in advance, this site is amazing.

Grats on the recent NOA2!

Once you get the case number, you can always email the DS-3032 following the template linked in post 1.

Any chance you know your husband's bank information? Because you can always pay the two fees, as long as you have his info. If not, then once he ports, he can pay the fees.

Those two things (DS-3032 and paying fees) will at least progress your case a little bit. Other than that, there's not much else to do as the last two things are to send in the packages.

Call NVC and get your case number and IIN. Fill out what you can and wait for when your husband gets back. Yes, he can pay the fees while he is in port. When he gets back stateside you can send off the packages.

So, I'm procrastinating on my homework at school (headbonk.gif) and decided to look at previous NVC threads to see how many pages they got to. My results:

March 2012 - currently 198 and still going up laughing.gif

February 2012 - 115 pages

January 2012 - 72 pages

I wonder if we'll beat October 2010's amount laughing.gif Or get this topic locked soon due to being so long rofl.gif

It's because we're all dense :bonk::lol:

Can be either/or. emailing has proven to be quicker in order to process to a next step of invoicing IV fee and sen IV package. this iis only paperwork not an official documentation that needs original copy (well it is in a way), it is only an indication of agent choice from the beneficiary part, allowing all email/mail communication to be directed to a different person than the applicant and nothing more.
